Travis Kelce still has a wedding on his mind despite recent reports claiming he and Taylor Swift have suspended their plans.

The NFL star recently teased fans about his upcoming union with the "The Fate of Ophelia" hitmaker, with a not-so-subtle plea for marriage advice.

Travis Kelce's request comes at the heels of Taylor Swift's career milestone as the youngest woman to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

During the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Kelce and his older brother were joined by their pal, retired NFL star and sports commentator Greg Olsen. Kelce directed their conversation towards marriage by revealing that the show's intern, Brandon Borders, was engaged.

"Do you have any advice for him, and him alone, on the five must-haves at a good wedding?" Kelce asked, obviously hinting at wedding advice for himself. Olsen played along, noting that "anyone potentially getting married" needed to have him at the event.

Kelce's brother chimed in, urging the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to send out invites to his wedding. Although Olsen gave his pal a way out by emphasizing there should be "no pressure" in Kelce's plans, he doubled down on being a priority wedding guest. However, Kelce just laughed off the request without revealing any wedding plans.

Taylor Swift Will Be Inducted Into The Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Kelce's request for wedding advice follows a significant achievement in his fiancée's career. On Wednesday, January 21, Swift became the youngest woman to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) after her inclusion in this year's honorees.

Billboard reported that she will be officially inducted into the SHOF at their annual Induction and Awards gala on June 11. She is not only the youngest woman to receive this honor at 36 but also the first person to graduate from receiving the SHOF's Starlight Award to full membership status.

Additionally, Swift is eligible for another record-breaking honor if she can receive the Johnny Mercer Award within the next 15 years. If she earns the trophy, Swift will become the youngest recipient of the award, beating Billy Joel,  who received it at 52.

A month before Swift's recognition in the SHOF, PEOPLE reported that a source claimed she and Kelce were taking their time with their wedding plans. "Nothing feels rushed or one-sided," the source explained, noting they were "equally involved" in their wedding plans.

The source claimed Kelce and Swift were approaching their nuptials like a partnership, "talking things through together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them." They weren't in a rush as they were still in celebration mode after their engagement.

The source's claims matched previous reports about Kelce and Swift's mindset after they announced their engagement news in a joint Instagram post on August 26, 2025. "Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged, and they are going to take their time with it," an insider shared at the time.

Although previous reports claimed Kelce and Swift were enjoying their engagement phase instead of rushing to tie the knot, The Blast recently reported that their wedding plans were "on hold." The news came via a source who claimed things had changed.

According to the source, they had halted their wedding preparations amid their busy careers, particularly Kelce's NFL prospects. He was yet to decide if he would continue his journey with the Kansas City Chiefs or retire after a disappointing season in 2025.

"They don't want to stress over a wedding when there's so much else going on," the source alleged. Another insider echoed similar sentiments, noting that Swift and Kelce were "in date-night mode, not wedding mode."
