Friday football tips
Bet of the day – Over 2.5 Dinamo Zagreb goals vs Slaven Belupo Koprivnica – 4/5
Dinamo Zagreb scored 93 goals in 36 Croatian League games last season on their way to winning the title by 18 points and they should be confident about getting three points in their season opener against Slaven Belupo Koprivnica.
There were 16 occasions last season that Dinamo scored more than two goals and they face a team who they beat 4-1 on the road in their penultimate game of the campaign.
Slaven Belupo won just one of their final 12 games and conceded at least twice in 10 of those outings, so their prospects look bleak.
Bet builder – Dundee United vs Rangers: L Shankland to score, over 3.5 goals & over 10.5 corners – 23/5
The Scottish Premiership season kicks into action on Friday with Rangers taking a trip to Dundee United, and there will be few players in the top flight keener to make a big impression in the first weeks of the campaign than Gers striker Lawrence Shankland.
The striker has been one of the league’s best performers outside the Old Firm for a few seasons, and now gets his big chance after joining his former Hearts manager in making the move from Tynecastle to Ibrox.
He can get off the mark on his debut and can be the first element of a three-selection Bet Builder for the Tannadice clash.
Over 3.5 goals should be included as that was a winning bet in nine of Rangers’ final 12 games of last season and United are unlikely to sit back as they won four of their final five home games last term.
There is a strong chance that there will be plenty of corners too. More than half of Rangers’ league games featured at least 11 last term and United’s matches contained an average of ten.
Acca – Valerenga, Bodo/Glimt, LASK Linz & New York City all to win – 39/10
The first two acca selections come from the Norwegian Eliteserien as Valerenga should beat HamKam after scoring 12 goals in their last three home games.
The visitors have taken just two points form their last five league games and look vulnerable while it is also difficult to see Lillestrom getting anything from their trip to Bodo/Glimt, who have dropped just two points from their last eight outings.
Austrian champions LASK Linz have lost just twice in the Bundesliga since September 29, so that looks a tough trip for Grazer AK, while New York City should claim a third successive MLS win against a Toronto side who have won just three games all season and none of their last 11.
