The drama between Ashley Tisdale and her former mom group rages on. Meghan Trainor, who was previously silent, has now addressed the mom group drama via a cryptic post.

Trainor’s post went viral on social media, resulting in backlash from fans who slammed her for proving Tisdale's point.

On the other hand, other fans defended her, noting that she had a right to publicize the matter just as the Disney alum did.

Days after Tisdale's essay, Trainor shared a video on TikTok where she was seen sitting at her computer while typing and looking at the screen.

The caption of the video read, “Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama," and the video was set to the song “Still Don't Care,” one of her new singles from her upcoming album.

The 32-year-old singer’s video drew widespread reaction from fans, who mostly thought she was wrong for her reaction. One fan slammed her, writing, “This is giving leader of the mean moms group,” and another wrote, “This proves Ashley’s point.”

Another pointed out that Trainor’s reaction, combined with Hilary Duff’s husband’s response, was “giving high school. Ashley was right.”

In the same vein, other fans agreed that the singer’s reaction only further proved that Tisdale was “100% correct.” This user penned, “The way Ashley didn’t name who she was specifically talking about, yet they ALL RAN to [the] media to put a narrative out. Ashley was right,” another fan wrote.

On the other hand, the minority of fans sided with Trainor, with one writing, “Ashley brought it up and put it in the public eye, but Meghan is the mean girl for this?”

Another comment read, “No, this shows me that Meghan just doesn’t care about drama and wants no part of it. Doesn’t show me who is right or wrong.”

The mom group drama all stemmed from Tisdale’s personal essay, published by The Cut. In the exposé, she spoke about her former friend group, which comprised Meghan Trainor, Hilary Duff, and Mandy Moore.

Tisdale revealed that she had decided to walk away from the group following a series of events that made her feel unwanted by her former friends. She shared that while she tried to ignore the happenings in the group, things soon spiraled to a point that she felt “frozen out of the group.”

According to The Blast, the drama soon got “too high-school” for her, and she decided to opt out of the group, as she didn’t feel like she belonged there anymore. This led her to send a breakup text to the group, explaining her reason for leaving them.

Her text was met with apologies that didn’t seem sincere to her. Others in the group also attempted to smooth things over by saying that they were unaware that she felt left out.

Following Tisdale’s explosive personal essay about her former close pals, Hilary Duff’s husband addressed the drama with a scathing post on social media, which drew widespread reactions from fans.

Duff’s husband, Mathew Koma, shared a photoshopped picture of himself on Tisdale’s body from the shoot she did for the cover of her essay in The Cut.

He paired it with a sarcastic headline that read, “When You're The Most Self-obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers. A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father's Eyes,” per The Blast.

One fan reacted to the sarcastic post, calling Koma a “pretentious a-shole,” while another wrote that he gave them “the ick.”

Although Koma rushed to his wife’s defense in the dramatic friendship breakup, things were not always sour in the friend group.

In fact, Duff had previously opened up about the bond she shared with the group, expressing gratitude to have found meaningful friendships with them.

"I feel like our big connection to one another, even though we're pop stars or on TV, is, we love our kids,” the “How I Met Your Mother” star once said, as reported by The Blast.

Just as Duff once openly expressed gratitude for the friendships she formed in the mom group, sources claim that she also expressed hurt over Tisdale’s explosive essay.

According to The Blast, Duff and Moore were “blindsided and hurt” by the way Tisdale publicly spoke about the issue.

A source shared that they believed the matter could’ve been resolved privately away from the prying eyes of the public, and at the end of the day, they felt “unfairly portrayed” by how things turned out.
