The actress recently spoke about the comment she made about Kourtney Kardashian, noting that the reactions she received made her question whether she should be so open sometimes. 

Lawrence also recently came under fire for admitting that she started viewing dogs as “scary” following a biting incident involving her pet dog and her child.

While promoting her latest projects, the 35-year-old Oscar winner admitted that seeing some headlines about herself makes her question her own sanity and perhaps the frequency of her media appearances. 

"I think that when I do press, I should do half [of] what normal people do. Because I see my quotes and they're insane. Like, 'Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian annoying.' It's just too... You know? It carries,” Lawrence said. 

Although Poehler praised Lawrence for remaining "so famous and so real," the “Die My Love” star seems convinced that her unfiltered honesty is a double-edged sword that carries far more weight than she ever intended.

The specific moment of "insanity" Lawrence cited traces back to a viral Vanity Fair lie detector test from November 2025, where she sat down with co-star Robert Pattinson. Their conversation veered into the world of reality TV, leading Lawrence to vent her frustrations about the eldest Kardashian sister.

According to The Blast, she bluntly labeled Kourtney "more annoying than ever," complaining that the reality star turns every mundane lifestyle choice into a grand public announcement.

Critics quickly flooded social media to slam her comments as "terrible" and "disappointing," arguing that her platform could normalize pet abandonment or create unnecessary fear. 

“This is terrible. A dog is a living being with feelings. Don't get dogs if you plan to give them up. Don't leave the child alone with the dog. This makes me see her in a bad light,” one person wrote, according to The Blast.
