FBI - Lone Wolf & Wolf Pack - Review : Never Hurt One Of Their Own

What an absolute whirlwind of emotions I experienced throughout that two-hour ordeal. So many things happened that I am honestly trying to remember what happened at the start of that first episode. In all honesty I did love that we got a two-hour dosage of FBI, however I do feel that it does need to be watched as two separate episodes. Mainly because halfway through the second hour I realised I hadn’t had any time to process what had happened in the first hour.

Overall, I think this was a really great two hours of the show. We got some slower moments which allowed you to have a little breather from all the action which is rare for an FBI episode.

I really loved being able to see Jubal being a dad again, his entire demeanour changes when he’s a parent and it’s really nice to be able to see that side of him. It was an absolutely gut-wrenching episode to watch as a fan of both Jubal and Tyler. Like Jubal said it wasn’t until recently that him and Tyler really started to connect, and it all very nearly got taken away from him.

The scene of Jubal reading Tyler’s college essay was so heart-warming, when we saw Tyler taking the video earlier in the episode my first thought was that he was acting like his dad does. It really didn't shock me when Jubal acted the way he did, he is certainly someone I would never want to be on the wrong side of.

We got an incredible amount of screen time for literally every single main character which was lovely to see, we learnt some things that may have just been flippant lines but also gave us more knowledge about the characters we love, for example that Eva is single, and that Maggie and OA are spending Christmas together. That scene of Maggie and OA talking about Christmas together and OA already telling his family that she was coming was such a wonderful scene to watch, it just shows how much their lives are integrated even outside of the FBI.

The storyline of this episode was so fascinating to watch, there wasn’t one single moment that my eyes weren’t glued to the screen waiting to find out what new twist there would be. The end scene with the cyanide gas was arguably my favourite part about this episode, so much action was happening, and we got to see all of our field agents (including Jubal) doing what they do best by taking out the bad guys even in the midst of being gassed and shot at.

Lastly the acting in this double episode was exquisite, there was not one fault that I could pick out. It truly felt like you were watching real FBI agents experience their world crumbling around them.
