Britney Spears Clarifies ‘Embarrassing’ Dance Videos, Vows To ‘Never Perform’ In America Again

Britney Spears is firing back at her biggest haters with her latest post on Instagram. According to the "Toxic" singer, there's a deeper reason behind her "embarrassing" dance videos that often spark criticism.

In the same post, Britney Spears, who rose to fame as a '90s and 2000s pop icon, also vowed "never" to perform in the United States again due to "extremely sensitive reasons."

Britney shared a throwback image of herself sitting next to a white piano while wearing a nude dress at the 29th Annual American Music Awards in 2002.

"Sending this piano to my son this year!!!" she captioned the post before addressing the critics who drag her for sharing videos of herself dancing.

"Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about," the "Gimme More" singer confessed. "Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life."

As many know, Britney was in an abusive and restrictive conservatorship for nearly 13 years from 2008 until November 2021.

Continuing, Britney dropped a bombshell regarding her touring future.

She added, "But I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son... in the U.K. and AUSTRALIA very soon."

"He's a huge star, and I'm so humbled to be in his presence!!!" she continued. "Godspeed, little man!!!"

While the "Break the Ice" writer didn't specify which son she was referring to, she has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears Has Shown Off Her Son Playing The Piano Before

This isn't the first time Britney has bragged about her child's exceptional piano skills. In a previous Instagram post, the singer shared a video of her son, Jayden, revealing he had been bitten by the same musical bug as her.

"That was really good! My son just played, oh my God!" Britney said. "I felt it in my bones and my heart and my lungs and my [butt] and my throat and I'm scared."

Britney then boasted about her "genius" son in the caption, saying, "I can't believe he's mine!!!"

Meanwhile, a source close to Britney and her sons shared that the singer was left feeling "really hurt" by her son, Sean Preston, who decided to spend the holiday season with his aunt, Jamie Lynn Spears, and grandmother, Lynne Spears, in Louisiana.

The insider revealed that while Britney tried her hardest to convince the 20-year-old, he's not ready to "meet her halfway" yet.

According to the source, part of the reason Preston traveled to the South for Christmas is that he feels "really comfortable with ... his family" in Louisiana.

Despite the disappointment, Britney enjoyed the day as best she could with Jayden laughing and bonding "more than they have in a while."

Jamie Lynn And Britney Had Major Beef A Few Years Ago

In 2022, Britney and Jamie Lynn made headlines after the latter spoke about their strained relationship during a "Good Morning America" interview.

Speaking about her memoir, "Things I Should Have Said," Jamie Lynn said that she's always been Britney's "biggest supporter" before questioning why they were in such a bad place.

"I love my sister," she said. "I've only ever loved and supported her and done what's right by her, and she knows that, so I don't know why we're in this position right now."

Britney, of course, blasted the "Zoey 101" actress in a separate post, slamming her family for using her name to sell stories.

"The 2 things that did bother me that my sister said was how my behavior was out of control. She was never around me much 15 years ago at that time .... so why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense??? REALLY???" she said.

Britney also explained why she was bothered by her sister's 2017 medley performance of her songs, saying, "I wrote a lot of my songs and my sister was the baby. She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her."

She finished by sarcastically saying she hopes her sister's book performs well, before admitting how "disgusted" she is with them for dragging her down to make money.
