Best Medicine - Take Me Out To The Ballgame - Review : The Doc Is In The Bad Books Again
I think this episode of Best Medicine is my favourite so far, the antics of the whole episode are just so wild, but it just makes you laugh constantly.
First of all everything for this town seems like a huge deal, it doesn’t matter if it’s a baked bean supper or a baseball game they will be making sure everyone is aware of it. And therefore if you are Doc Martin and insist on causing issues with those events the town really isn’t going to thank you for it.
It really took the Doc all of five minutes to annoy the entire town again. Although I really don't think that the Doc can be blamed for breaking Junior's arm since it was Mark's fault that he was actually in the Doc's office not that he seemed to have any backlash for it.
He manages to break the star player's arm and break 20 laws in the episode and still saves the day. The entire episode just showcases Martin being a bumbling clueless individual about yet another town event, but you can’t help loving him for it.
Him climbing through the window to help Junior regardless of knowing he legally shouldn’t be near him showed that Martin really does care, even if he maybe doesn’t fully show it. The same way he tackled the baseball player to stop Junior from getting even more injured.
Side note Martin getting out of the window was hilarious, he just really couldn’t do it and it had me crying with laughter. This hilarity of the show has not slowed down at all, everything seems so silly, but it’s not overdone. I never get bored of laughing at this show.
Doc being baffled at his aunt actually making out with her ‘enemy’ was truly a great scene. He just really didn’t understand why she would want that; it was even better having him be next to Louisa next to him. What a great episode!
