Family remains an important part of Aaron Rodgers’ life, especially as he approaches the end of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rodgers is gearing up for the 22nd and final season of his career, his second with the Steelers. He joined Pittsburgh in 2025 following a two-year stint with the New York Jets, spending most of his Hall of Fame career with the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers wishes to end his career on a high note, making a deep playoff run on a Pittsburgh squad that is capable of making noise. However, there are things that matter to him off the field.
The veteran quarterback took part in an interview with reporter Kyle Brandt. They discussed the family aspect of Rodgers’ life, something that he has valued greatly while preparing for the 2026 campaign.
“Having those conversations with my wife – that allowed me to open up to the possibility of coming together,” Rodgers said. “It’s been a couple-year process now, the conversations with them. I’ve been very closed off about that part of my life, and I want to keep it that way, but there’s been a narrative that’s gone on for too long that I wanted to shut down.”
“I’m happy to be reunited. That part of my life is a really beautiful addition, and I gotta give my wife a lot of credit. Not that she was pushing me, because she never was, but just the way that she loves and supports me, having her by my side during this process was really special. I missed those relationships. And there was reasons for (the estrangement) that don’t need to be talked about, but I’m thankful that that’s come all the way back around.”

What lies ahead for Aaron Rodgers, Steelers
Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have a lot to look forward to in 2026. As for Rodgers, he wants to leave his final mark on the NFL as a future Hall of Famer.
The Steelers will attempt to improve on their 10–7 record of the past three seasons. They also attempt to end their seven-game playoff game losing streak dating back to the 2016 season. This season will begin with only the team’s fourth head coach in 58 seasons as Mike McCarthy leads the team for 2026 and beyond.
Pittsburgh’s campaign will begin at home against the Atlanta Falcons. That game commences on Sept. 13 with kickoff taking place at 1 p.m. ET.
