Smokey Robinson Wins Disclosure Request Of Four Of His Accusers

Smokey Robinson is really trying to stay ahead of the situation!

The producer has secured an order for his latest accusers to tender their devices in court to prevent them from deleting essential data that could help his case.

Smokey Robinson is currently involved in an ongoing civil lawsuit where he is the defendant against several former employees who have accused him of sexual assault, among other crimes.

On Friday, the judge pronounced that four of his accusers be asked to provide their cell phones for imaging. According to facts contained in the court documents, Robinson asked that his unidentified accusers turn in their phones to mitigate the risk they might cause by continually deleting data.

Reacting to the latest judgment, Robinson's lawyer declared, "We know the types of communications these plaintiffs had with our clients before deciding to sue them, so we are pleased to finally be able to access information that will help the court, a jury, and the public know the truth."

Per The Daily Mail, Robinson's team filed the request last Wednesday, and now they have to make their phones available within the next ten days.

Robinson attorney Christopher Frost revealed that the accusers had been served with discovery requests for their phones in the past, but they failed to reply accordingly.

The number of the producer's accusers increased to six last month when an unidentified male accuser claimed he was sexually harassed during his time as a housekeeper at the Robinsons' home about a decade ago.

As shared by The Blast, the male accuser explained that his job mainly involves cleaning and preparing their vehicles in the morning. Robinson became fond of stepping out shirtless whenever he started his daily job.

On several occasions, the accuser claimed he would appear wearing only his underwear and then ask him to fondle his erect genitals. He added that Robinson once tried to get him into a nearby room while constantly making sexually suggestive remarks every other day.

The accuser said that he always refused these advances, and it ultimately led to his sack from the job. Although Robinson's wife reinstated him, the alleged victim explained that he eventually ended his employment with the family once he learned that there were more victims.

The singer's lawyer reacted to the new accuser's story and declared it false on the basis that he has become part of the forces committed to creating negative publicity for the Robinsons. He described all the accusations, including the new ones, as a ploy to extract money from the singer.

According to Frost, "This group of people, who hide behind anonymity, and their attorneys seek global publicity while making the ugliest of false allegations."

The lawyer noted that the six accusers and their attorneys have also refused to remain cooperative in the case by withholding alleged evidence they had to help authorities make further investigations into their wild claims.

Robinson's male accuser had revealed that his experience with the singer left him very traumatized and struggling with emotional distress, humiliation, and concern for his safety.

The Blast reported that Robinson filed a rebuttal to the initial lawsuit from his accusers and requested a $500 million settlement. As a line of defense, the producer stated that he, alongside his wife, operates a culture of treating their workers like family.

His legal team provided scenarios where he presented his staff with gift items in the past, sorted their medical bills, among many other kind gestures. That is not all, the producer’s lawyers also shared evidence of an ex-employee inviting Robinson to their son’s graduation party.

One of the accusers even allegedly went on vacation with Robinson’s wife to celebrate his birthday. The former staff seemingly attached the picture to a heartfelt birthday wish they sent to the musician.

The fingers of the accusers also found Robinson's wife to be an enabler of his excesses, who constantly gave him a soft landing.

One of the accusers insisted that Gladney was fully aware of his misconduct and would feign ignorance by driving to the nail salon for hours every week while Robinson unleashed his beastly ways.

The alleged victim continued that Gladney would often mediate between her husband and his victims, while failing to hold Robinson accountable. Robinson's wife was also accused of promoting a toxic work environment by constantly yelling at staff and using ethnically pejorative words and language.

One of the accusers even claimed that Robinson would threaten his victims into submission by telling them his wife would be mean to them. Gladney had stayed mute about the allegation since they began swinging left and right.
