As the Kansas City Chiefs put it on social media, Christmas came early for the team's offensive linemen, all thanks to star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In a flashy post shared two days ago, the linemen walked into a room, wide-eyed, as they discovered it was filled with pricey gifts and gadgets. Of course, this isn't new for Mahomes, who spread plenty of Christmas cheer to his O-line in 2024.

In the carousel of photos and videos, the Chiefs' offensive linemen looked like kids in a candy shop as they surveyed the lavish gift sets their QB had presented to them. "Shoutout to QB1 for the gifts," the post read. Athletes such as Creed Humphrey, Kingsley Suamataia, and Trey Smith could be seen smiling as they inspected the many pricey items included in their unexpected haul.

According to a report from PEOPLE, Mahomes gifted his teammates a Hublot watch, an indoor golf practice kit that reviews users' swings and lets them be replayed on the app, Beats Studio Pro headphones, and Oakley Meta HSTN AI sunglasses. Additionally, the Super Bowl champion handed out Rimowa aluminum suitcases and an Aventon e-bike.

Patrick Mahomes Is No Stranger To Handing Out Lavish Gifts To His Teammates

This isn't the first time Mahomes has handed out pricey gifts to his squad. In 2024, the father of three gifted his offensive linemen $425 Yeti Tundra Haul coolers in bright red, according to a social media post shared by the team. Inside the coolers, Mahomes included Rolex watches, Lucchese leather cowboy boots, Oakley sunglasses, WHOOP workout sport bands, a Normatec Elite air compression leg attachment, and different items from an Adidas collection.

It would appear some NFL quarterbacks feel extra generous during the holiday season, as San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy also presented his offensive line with lavish gifts during the 2024 season. In a video shared online, the Iowa State alum interrupted an offensive line meeting to thank his teammates for all of their hard work. Later, he revealed a row of 10 luxury Toyota vehicles and told his team to pick their choice from the litter.

Fans Share Their Unusual Response To Patrick Mahomes' Gift To His Offensive Line

While Mahomes' line surely appreciated the kind gesture, Kansas City Chiefs fans weren't feeling as jolly in the comments, as many called for several players' removal from the squad.

"Watches to let them know their time is up, suitcases to pack their things, a bike to leave on, and sunglasses to hide their tears as they ride away," a user wrote.

"The line don't need nothing but film and some drills," a second user shared, while a third wrote, "Creed and Trey take your stuff and leave. The rest of y'all running laps until you collapse."

Several other users praised Mahomes and his character after a "horrific" slate of games and after he suffered a season-ending injury.

Mahomes Out For The Rest Of The 2025 Season Following Injury

Last Sunday, during the Chiefs' contest against the Los Angeles Chargers, it was revealed that Mahomes had torn the ACL in his left knee with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

According to ESPN, during the final minutes, Mahomes scrambled out of the pocket during a play while being tracked down by defensive player Da'Shawn Hand. After planting his left foot and throwing the ball, Mahomes' knee buckled, causing him to fall to the ground and grab his knee in pain.

"Don't know why this had to happen," Mahomes shared online. "And not going to lie, [it] hurts. But all we can do now is [trust] in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you, Chiefs kingdom, for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I [will] be back stronger than ever."

Mahomes' injury also came at a somber time for Chiefs fans, as the team has officially been knocked out of playoff contention for the first time in 10 consecutive years.

One of the team's star players, Travis Kelce, opened up about how he was feeling postgame on his "New Heights" podcast, according to The Blast, calling it "unfamiliar territory."

"It's a new feeling. So, all I know is to go out there and play my -ss off and to show up and to, you know, give my guys the best chance to win," he said. "There's an integrity thing here that when you sign up for the gig, you're living out your dreams, you're living out a kid's dream that never got a chance to do this."

All eyes are on Kelce as his season begins to come to a close. After 13 seasons, three Super Bowl wins, and a luxurious wedding to pop star Taylor Swift on the horizon, could his time in the league be over?

"My gut tells me about Travis Kelce is that he will not be back next year," Rob Gronkowski shared in December 2025. "He has had a significant career, Kay. He has had an excellent year once again this year."
