Minnesota Vikings star Jordan Addison is back in the headlines, and it is for all the wrong reasons.

On Monday, January 12, the USC alum was arrested and booked for "probable cause trespassing" in Tampa, Florida.

Jordan Addison's recent arrest is the athlete's third run-in with the law since 2023, and NFL fans are roasting the 23-year-old for his apparent inability to stay out of trouble.

According to several outlets, including NBC and CBS Sports, Addison was arrested by Seminole Indian Police at 3:46 AM EST and booked at 7:33 AM for "trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance"—a level 1 misdemeanor.

While details are still emerging, the Vikings' head coach, Kevin O'Connell, addressed the arrest record on Tuesday, January 13, during a media appearance. "I don't wanna speculate on that in any way, shape or form," he said.

"I do think we've gotta get as many facts and find out exactly what happened. Speculating at this point would be incredibly premature for me."

Jordan Addison Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI In July 2024

Addison was previously arrested in July 2024 in Los Angeles on suspicion of DUI after he was found asleep at the wheel in a Rolls-Royce.

Although the athlete wasn't driving at the time, his luxury vehicle was blocking a lane of traffic.

Addison pleaded guilty to a "wet reckless" offense—a lesser vehicular offense, according to CBS Sports.

The NFL suspended Addison—a first-round pick in the 2023 draft— for the first three games of the 2025 NFL season for "violating the [league's] Substances of Abuse Policy."

Before that, Addison was pulled over and cited for speeding and reckless driving in the summer of 2023 after being clocked driving 140 mph in a 55-mph zone.

Addison pleaded guilty to speeding in a deal that dropped the reckless driving charge, and the millionaire athlete paid $686 in fines.

In a statement, the Vikings player admitted he "made a mistake and used poor judgment" shortly after being cited. "I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry," he finished.

Fans Are Roasting Addison Online Following His Third Run-In With The Law

It didn't take long for social media users to share their reactions to Addison's arrest online, with several mocking the wide receiver for his consistent legal woes.

"Jordan Addison yearns to be arrested, it’s his favorite thing to do. But he is courteous and disciplined enough to save it for the offseason, that’s a winning culture right there," a user on X wrote. "Cops caught Jordan Addison more times than he caught the ball this season," another user added. "Jordan Addison went for the 3 Peat," a third user shared.

Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah weighed in on the latest developments surrounding one of his team's star players and praised the "intelligent, confident, responsible" athlete, before wondering whether the player's personal issues could bring negative attention to the organization.

"Jordan is unique because 99% of the days that Jordan Addison is a Viking, he's a joy to be around," Adofo-Mensah said. "He's incredibly intelligent, confident, responsible. And then it's like all of us: What are you like on those 1% of days? Is it the type of thing that draws attention or not?"

Despite his statements, Adofo-Mensah made it clear that he and the rest of the Vikings leaders were in Addison's corner. "We'll have those conversations, obviously. Just a few days after the season and obviously this event just happened. But always supportive of Jordan Addison. We'll continue to fact-find and see what actually happened, and then we'll have those conversations in the future," he said.

Addison isn't the only NFL player making waves, according to The Blast.

New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs has also been at the center of controversy after being charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery.

A team spokesperson shared a statement following the news, saying they were aware of the allegations. "Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations," they added. "We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary."

Before that, Diggs was the topic of conversation after an influencer, Christopher Blake Griffith, accused the athlete of sexually assaulting him and plotting to have him killed.
