Contrary to popular belief, Kris Jenner isn't the sole mastermind behind the Kardashian-Jenner clan's rise to fame! At least that's what Kim Kardashian says.

The socialite spilled the tea in a new interview while sharing her excitement for her first-ever MasterClass starting Thursday, December 4. The program, featuring her 10 simple "Kimmandments," will teach fans how to turn fame into fortune.

Kim Kardashian and her siblings rose to fame alongside Kris Jenner and her then-husband, Bruce Jenner (who transitioned to Caitlyn) on the reality TV series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." They have since branched out into other sectors, including the fashion industry.

While raving about her new MasterClass and why fans could learn a thing or two from her, Kim revealed she was the driving force behind her family's rise to fame on reality TV. She claimed her dream to be a star started at a young age, saying:

"I think I was the one that convinced everyone for sure. I really wanted it. I really wanted to do a reality show since the day MTV's 'The Real World' came out."

Kim recalled watching the show with her best friend when they were around 11 years old, noting she declared she would join MTV to become a reality TV star. She told TIME that her dream came true as the producers of the show that inspired her goal were the same producers of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

According to Kim, her career began as an entrepreneur while working at her late father's office. She used to run a little eBay business, making hair accessories and selling them at Fred Segal alongside a closet-organizing business.

Additionally, she and her sisters ran a clothing store called Dash, which she used to motivate them into shooting the reality TV series. "I let them know that, you know, it'll bring such great promotion to our store. And they were in once they heard that," Kim recalled.

Another rare tale about the start of her family's rise to fame was the change in Kim's name. She revealed that she always used to go by "Kimberly" until she saw her chyron for the show and immediately realized it wouldn't be a hit with fans. So she shortened it, and the rest is history.

Although Kim took credit for pushing her family into reality TV, she could not be deemed the reason for their multimillion-dollar empire. The honor of turning the clan into the sensational stars they are today belongs to the one and only "momager," Kris Jenner.

Ryan Seacrest, who green-lit the family's reality TV show, raved about Kris's efforts in turning her daughters into entertainment icons. He described the mother of six as "an unstoppable force," noting that she did something no one expected with her talents as a manager.

Seacrest credited her for leading "her family to succeed in creating an empire bigger than anything we could have ever imagined when we came up with the show's concept 15 years ago."

Markus Wohlfeil, a marketing professor at De Montfort University, told Forbes that Kris was like the modern-day Steve Jobs or Walt Disney.

Kris and Kim's relationship made waves earlier this year when a source claimed the momager was "happy" watching her daughter walk in her shoes. The Blast covered the story, reporting that the source noted Kim was experiencing what it was like to be a manager to her own daughter, North West.

The pre-teen is the oldest of the four children Kim welcomed during her marriage to Kanye 'Ye' West. The source explained that the Skims founder had started managing North's career like Kris did for her; however, it hadn't been a smooth experience.

"She's pretty happy that Kim's getting a taste of what it's like and how exhausting it is," the source said about Kris's feelings. They added that her job as a momager was often thankless, so it made her pleased to see Kim understand what it was like walking in her shoes.

Although the Kardashian-Jenner clan found success in other ventures besides reality TV, their solo achievements never stopped them from continuing their family's show. However, things might change in the future, according to an insider.

The Blast shared in August that an insider claimed the oldest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings, Kourtney Kardashian, was no longer interested in being a reality TV star. They explained that she disliked the publicity and wanted a quieter life with her family.

"She thinks the whole fame game has gotten out of control," the insider said about Kourtney. Her alleged decision to quit reality TV struck a nerve with Kim, who reportedly believed her sister was being hypocritical by hating the venture that boosted her other businesses, Poosh and Lemme.
