The singer has shared her grief with the world, declaring that she watched her lovely pet pass away yesterday in her home backyard.
Kelsea Ballerini has had quite the dramatic past year in her personal life, including an on-and-off relationship with her current boyfriend and Netflix star, Chase Stokes.

In the Instagram post, Ballerini dedicated heartwarming paragraphs to her loving pet, whom she summed up as a worthy ally and a light on dark days. The star shared several slides of pictures showcasing the bond they shared and how much fun they had together.
From joining Ballerini on set to catching flights together and playing poolside with her group of friends, Dibs was definitely one of the singer's best buddies. She captioned the post with a lengthy caption describing how her dog died while being surrounded by his people and the bright sunshine.
"There are no words to articulate his role in my life, but i couldn't have done the last ten years without him, and he will always be my soul dog… and I pray and believe we'll find each other in every life," the singer stated.
She encouraged her followers and loved ones to take a look at the images and see how happy her dog was while it lived. The singer concluded the post, adding, "Thank you for loving him so loudly with me. i feel like the luckiest girl in the world that i got to be his dog mom, the greatest gift of my life."

Ballerini's heartbreaking post captured the attention of her fans, friends, and close circle, including her boo, Stokes, who paid their last respect to Dibs in the comment section.
"My sweet sweet boy," Stokes wrote in the comments, earning replies from other Instagram users who sympathized with him for his loss. Actress Lili Reinhart also extended her sympathy to Ballerini and her boyfriend right under the post.
Songwriter and singer Ashley Cooke wrote: "an angel baby right where he belongs..and still always with you. Sending so much love." Another commenter described raising a dog as the "most rewarding love and the biggest heartache," while they sent peace and comfort that singer's way.

The 'Outer Banks' Star Was Reportedly Insecure In Their Relationship
Their split, which happened last year, was reportedly initiated by Ballerini, who, as reported by The Blast, felt she and Stakes were on separate paths at the time. The actor was also in on the plan, but sources claimed that some other event played a deeper role in the demise of that relationship.
First was the fact that Stokes reportedly became jealous and found it very hard to keep up with his girlfriend's fame and lifestyle. Another reason he felt uncomfortable was that Ballerini's independence grew as her career advanced.
Stokes also reportedly felt the singer was out there flirting the night away when she was away from him and may be putting their relationship at risk with her actions.
Their decision to split did not, however, last long, as they were soon spotted together in Scotland, just before he returned to Croatia for the final season of "Outer Banks."
Sources claimed that the reunion happened so naturally because the couple still carried lots of love and admiration for each other despite the breakup.
Kelsea Ballerini Warned Concert Disruptors Last Month
The Blast noted that the singer made sure there was no room for disrespect of any kind during her performances after one fan loudly reacted while she performed a song she wrote about her split from her ex-husband, Morgan Evans.
The concert attendee had rudely interrupted the singer while she belted out an acoustic version of "Penthouse" and yelled "Team Morgan," prompting Ballerini to yell back "f-ck off."
She corrected the narrative by yelling "Team Everyone's Happy," and later took her stance to social media, where she penned a lengthy statement to overzealous fans. Ballerini declared that if anyone decides to yell anything during the performance of this song once more, it will be removed entirely from the set list.
"Please let this be a song that matters to people and not a place to insert yourself into a world that doesn't exist and was never yours to begin with. Team, everyone's happy or bust. Please," she concluded.
