Danny Boyle's zombie franchise continues with 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, and it won't be the last. From the moment Sony announced plans to revive the franchise with Boyle and writer Alex Garland, it was reported that a trilogy was envisioned. After 28 Years Later's success, The Bone Temple remained on course for a release six months later, with a third 28 Years Later officially entering development in December 2025.
