Chris Noth Addresses Sarah Jessica Parker Friendship

Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica Parker's previously blossoming friendship has withered.
The actor disclosed his point of view on the matter, stating why the friendship, despite its longtime existence, had to end. Everything spiraled after the multiple sexual assault allegations against him entered the spotlight, which also affected his career.
Chris Noth and his co-star Sarah Jessica Parker have been friends for decades. They started on "Sex And The City" sets, building a professional working relationship that transcended into a long-term friendship.
Chris Noth And Sarah Jessica Parker Decades-Old Friendship Has Ended

Noth shared that he and Parker are no longer friends, and his sexual assault allegations played a big part in the development.
The charges were leveled against him in 2021, and Parker's response was beyond expectations. He detailed that his co-star did not reach out to him as he expected before she issued a public statement sticking with the accusers.
Noth explained Parker's simple act, and the message from her statement was very disappointing, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. He added that he expected more from her because she had known him for years and should be able to vouch for his character.
Nevertheless, the actor noted while appearing on "Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson" podcast that he would have handled things differently if the roles were reserved.
"I just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn't have done that," stressing that he would have "absolutely" called Parker if the roles were reversed.
Inside The 'Disappointing' Statement From The Actress

Parker issued a joint statement with fellow "SATC" stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis through which they gave their voices for the accusers.
"We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a tough thing to do, and we commend them for it," the statement read.
Noth acknowledged that they took this step for brand management; nevertheless, it was still disappointing and surprising because he expected that they would at least put a call through to him to hear his own side of the story before writing him off.
"But before you make that statement, you know me, you've known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didn't happen, and that was too bad," the Hollywood star said.
The 'And Just Like That' Actor Threw Shade At His Former Costar

Parker was awarded the Golden Globes' Carol Burnett Award during the CBS and Paramount primetime special Golden Eve. A few days later, Noth shared a photo of himself in the gym on Instagram.
"F-ck new years - LETS GO!!!!" he wrote in the caption. A user called out in the comments, "You mean f-ck SJP & her award, right? lol," to which Noth replied "right."
PEOPLE shared an update on how some fans were ready for the drama in the comments, while others took Parker's side, calling him bitter. Shortly after, Noth went back on the insults, saying it's not worth it and that exchanging words is a mere waste of time.
Sarah Jessica Parker Struggled To Say Goodbye To Chris Noth's Character On The Show

It was reported that amid the sexual assault accusations, Noth's character was killed off quite early into the show. Parker had played Carrie Bradshaw while Noth played her love interest, Mr. Big.
The season 1 premiere of "And Just Like That" got a lot of fans in their feelings. The initial feeling of shock hung over as fans watched Mr. Big die of a heart attack in Carrie's arms.
Parker also voiced out the emotional roller coaster those scenes put her through. "It just felt really untethered," she said in an interview before adding how difficult it was for her to say goodbye to his character.
Inside The Accusations Against Chris Noth

The claims were put forward initially by two women in 2021. They alleged that the assaults took place in 2004 and 2015, the latter during Noth's marriage to Tara Wilson.
Noth vehemently denied assault but maintained that his sexual encounters with both women were consensual. He also acknowledged that while he cheated on his wife, Wilson, there are some lines he did not cross.
"These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross," Noth said. As reported by The Blast, the actor has maintained his innocent plea, categorically denying the claims of sexual assault.
