Charlie Sheen may be back in court for another legal showdown with his ex-wife following the successful release of his memoir and Netflix documentary.

The infamous actor has been married three times, with his most famous partners being his second and third ex-wife, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. The latter has been butting heads with her former husband for years over his child support dues.

Brooke Mueller recently reignited the fight for unpaid child support fees, accusing Charlie Sheen of owing over $15 million. The former couple tied the knot in 2008 and welcomed twin sons in 2009, a year before the entertainer pulled the plug on their marriage.

Mueller penned her grievances against Sheen in legal documents filed on Thursday, December 4, in a Los Angeles Court. She called out her ex-husband for failing to pay the complete $660,000 per year child support fees as mandated by the court following their divorce.

The media personality claimed Sheen owed her $8,967,600 in child support and $6,418,643 in accrued interest, putting the total sum over $15 million. TMZ reported that she also wanted him to be held responsible for making her file a complaint for unpaid child support.

Mueller demanded that Sheen be on the hook for her legal expenses and asked for an additional $25,000 in attorney fees and costs. The requests didn't end there, as she wanted the whole sum to be paid within 30 days of a court order.

Page Six shed more light on the legal drama, reporting that Mueller told the court Sheen was mandated to pay her $55,000 monthly in child support. The order came in April 2010, and the actor had no issues meeting up with the payments until July 2011.

According to Mueller, "he made either partial payments or failed to make any payments." She alleged Sheen paid her a total of $295,000 in 2011 and did not make any child support payments from 2012 to 2015 before resuming partial payments in 2016.

Mueller, per her filing, received a total of $96,000 in 2016, $228,366 in 2017, $113,000 in 2018, and nothing from 2019 to 2022. Sheen resumed payments in 2023 with a total of $20,000, followed by $30,000 in 2024, and only $39,000 in 2025.

This isn't the first time Mueller has called out Sheen for failing to make child support payments, as she took him to court in April 2016 for unpaid fees. At the time, she claimed he owed over $89,000 and implored the court to intervene.

A month before her filing, Sheen had requested a reduction in the $55,000 child support fees, stressing that he could no longer afford the payments. He painted a dire financial picture, noting that his income had dwindled from $600,000 a month to $167,000.

Additionally, Sheen claimed he had over $12 million in debt. He made a second and third attempt to score a reduction in his child support payments in late 2016 and 2018; however, the court remained fixed on the original $55,000 a month order.

Although he could not earn a reduction in his child support payments to Mueller, Sheen scored a victory in reducing his child support payments to his second ex-wife, Richards. The bill was reduced from $55,000 a month to $20,000.

Mueller's child support filing followed the release of her ex-husband's memoir and Netflix documentary detailing his life, drug addiction, and career. He released "The Book of Sheen" in September 2025, where he recounted the tale of his famous divorces.

The Daily Mail reported that Sheen took shots at Mueller in the memoir, claiming "she was more enamored with the idea of becoming a mom than actually being one." He confessed that their marriage went downhill after he turned to drugs and shared them with her.

Their turbulent relationship, coupled with the drugs, created a "rot" that eventually destroyed their marriage. Sheen described their divorce as "messy, painful, and pricey," admitting that he had a better relationship with his second ex-wife than with Mueller.

Besides addressing his divorce in the memoir, The Blast reported that the book also covered Sheen's thought process when he announced his HIV-positive status on "The Today Show" in 2015.

While promoting the book, Sheen revealed that he was forced to reveal his health condition because of "nefarious" forces that tried to extort him to keep his diagnosis a secret. Instead of giving in to the threats, he chose to come clean publicly.

Sheen explained that he believed that was the only way to be free, as hiding his condition was much harder than revealing it. He also reflected on how he found out he was HIV-positive, admitting that he initially avoided the hospital because he feared he had something terminal.

Will Charlie Sheen respond to his ex-wife's child support claims?
