On the heels of the "Stranger Things Volume 1" release, Brett Gelman is stepping back into Murray Bauman’s shoes one last time, and this time, he’s taking his conspiracy-fueled paranoia straight into the shower. In a brand-new collaboration with Dr. Squatch, Gelman channels Bauman’s signature intensity to investigate what he believes is one of his biggest threats yet: Big Soap, an industry he claims is riddled with harsh chemicals, artificial ingredients, and decades of deception. His discovery? A line of "Stranger Things"–inspired soaps and deodorants from Dr. Squatch that Bauman sees as the unlikely proof that “natural freshness” may be humanity’s best defense against everything from synthetic fragrances to interdimensional chaos.

According to the announcement, the campaign takes the shape of a parody of old-school TV specials, blending Dr. Squatch’s iconic humor with Hawkins nostalgia. It follows Bauman as he exposes what’s been “lurking in men’s showers,” then uncovers the Dr. Squatch "Stranger Things" collection, a lineup of 98%+ natural, cold process soaps and aluminum-free deodorants created by the brand’s Odor Defense Lab.

“If there's one thing Murray Bauman knows, it's that there’s always a cover-up, and it turns out that ‘Big Soap’ has been running one in our showers for years,” Brett Gelman said. “Thankfully, Dr. Squatch helped me blow the case wide open… and I’ve never smelled better doing investigative work.”

Why Dr. Squatch Says Bauman Was The Perfect Fit For The Campaign

John Ludeke, SVP of Global Marketing at Dr. Squatch, said the chaotic, truth-seeking nature of Bauman’s character made him the perfect face for the campaign. “Brett brought the same skepticism and curiosity we want guys to bring to their routines and the ingredients they’re putting on their skin,” he said.

Content from the campaign will run across Dr. Squatch’s organic and paid channels throughout "Stranger Things"’ fifth and final season.

The Dr. Squatch x "Stranger Things" collection features four soaps and two complementary deodorants, each inspired by iconic elements of Hawkins, from the depths of the Upside Down to the fiery spirit of the Hellfire Club.

Vecna’s Curse, a heavy-grit bar made with pumice, coconut oil, and ground vanilla vine, delivers a sinister blend of crisp juniper, blood orange, and dark amber, swirling with the energy of Hawkins’ darkest threat.

Squawk Signal, a light-grit bar with an accompanying aluminum-free deodorant, uses pumice, coconut oil, and wild orchard extract to create nostalgic, underground vibes, rounded out with icy lavender and fizzy cherry soda for those late-night Hawkins missions.

Experiment No. 11, a medium-grit bar crafted with pumice, coconut oil, and antioxidant-rich rainbow plant extract, channels the industrial chill of Hawkins Laboratory with scent notes of fresh citrus and metallic iron, resulting in a sharp, secretive lather that hums with mystery.

Rounding out the lineup is Hellfire & Beyond, a medium-grit bar also available with a matching deodorant, built with pumice, coconut oil, and Dragon’s Blood extract. With bold pepper, clove, and leather notes, it captures the rebellious, adventurous spirit of the Hellfire Club and leaves you smelling ready for dungeons & Demogorgons.
