Billy Ray Cyrus is closing 2025 in high spirits following the conclusion of a bizarre legal drama that targeted the nature of his daughter's birth.

The "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker became embroiled in a legal complaint filed by a woman claiming to be Miley Cyrus's real mother. She accused Billy Ray and his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, of unlawfully taking her daughter from her at 12.

The plaintiff, a woman named Jayme Lee, kept pushing the case for months until Billy Ray Cyrus was forced to address her shocking allegations. Unfortunately, for the wannabe mom, she is now on the hook for the entertainer's legal fees after losing the case.

Fresh off his legal victory, Billy Ray updated his Instagram page with a snippet of his new music video on December 19. The clip captured the singer's animated self alongside his lover, Elizabeth Hurley, embracing the spirit of Christmas and all its magic.

The music video was for Billy Ray's cover of the classic Christmas song "Run Rudolph Run," originally performed by Chuck Berry. The singer's rendition featured a heartwarming, festive vibe with rock energy, offering a fresh take on the hit song.

This wasn't the first time Billy Ray had covered the medley, as he did so in 2007 for Disney Channel's holiday album. However, the new rendition was more personal than his original take. He raved about what the song meant to him in the post's caption, writing:

"This one came straight from the heart. Family, love, and a little Christmas joy. Hope it finds you where you are. Run Rudolph Run. Have a Very Merry Chuck Berry Christmas!!! '26 is gonna rock. Dream BIG!!!"

The love and support for Billy Ray's new song and music video came days after he scored a big win in his legal battle. According to a December 17 filing obtained by The Daily Mail, the Circuit Court of Davidson County sided with the singer against Miley's wannabe mom.

The court ordered Lee to cover Billy Ray's legal fees, amounting to $7,564.13. "Defendant Billy Ray Cyrus is entitled to the recovery from Plaintiff Jayme Lee of post-judgment interest on the award of his reasonable and necessary attorney fees and costs," the filing read.

The reimbursement order came weeks after Billy Ray's attorney, Chase LanCarte, confirmed the court had dismissed the ridiculous lawsuit on December 5. He noted the case was thrown out of court with prejudice, meaning Lee could not refile her maternity allegations.

According to the initial complaint filed by Miley's alleged mom in May, she gave birth to the Pop star when she was 12 in 1992. Lee claimed she entered a "private adoption agreement" with Billy Ray and his then-wife, Tish, to give up her daughter.

Their alleged agreement stated that she would choose Miley's name and later work as her nanny and piano teacher; however, the couple broke the terms of their contract. Lee made an amended filing in June, accusing Billy Ray and Tish of child abuse and endangerment.

Lee slammed them for making Miley a public figure despite knowing the pressure of the entertainment industry. She also accused the former couple of illegally obtaining her alleged daughter through "fraudulent inducement and duress," as she was too young to consent to the adoption.

Lee kept amending her lawsuit and dropping new allegations, trying to get Tish and Billy Ray's attention until the latter finally responded in November. He slammed the allegations as "false and absurd," stressing that the plaintiff was wasting the court's time and resources.

A month after he moved to dismiss the lawsuit, Billy Ray had a fantastic reason to celebrate. The Blast shared that he proudly marked Miley's engagement to her partner, Maxx Morando, in a heartwarming Instagram post shortly after his daughter confirmed the news.

Billy Ray dropped a throwback picture of him, Miley, and her godmother, Dolly Parton. He claimed that having the country music icon in his daughter's life helped her turn out "so special." He raved about his love for Miley and wished her and Morando all the happiness in the world.

Will Billy Ray Cyrus have more reasons to celebrate before the year runs out?
