Aubrey Plaza Determined To Offload Marital Home Amid 'Daily Struggle' Of Husband’s Death

Aubrey Plaza's marital home is back on the market!
The actress' property, which she shared with her late husband, Jeff Baena, has reportedly returned to the list of homes waiting for a new owner.
Aubrey Plaza's husband died by suicide at 47 years old amid a tough time in their 13-year marriage, which had them separated for four months before his death.
Aubrey Plaza's Home Gets A Massive Price Cut

The actress reportedly changed her mind after pulling the home off listing sites and is now ready to sell for a lower price than her initial figure. The house, located in Los Felix Oaks, was previously listed for $6.5 million last year, but can now be grabbed for $5,750,000 following a relisting process.
Plaza and her late husband acquired the home in 2022 and enjoyed its 4-bedroom, 6-bathroom facilities tucked in the private compound. The property also comes with a wine cellar, pool, steam room, and screening room.
As confirmed by TMZ, Bryce Pennel from Douglas Elliman currently holds the listing. The actress is reportedly committed to moving on from the house and leaving it all behind, even if it means forfeiting the profit.
The Actress Spoke About Adjusting To The Grief Of Losing Her Husband

Months after losing Baena, the actress gave a situation update on Amy Poehler's podcast after she asked how she was faring since the unfortunate incident. As reported by The Blast, Plaza expressed that the journey had been bumpy and her overall feeling might still use more definition.
"Overall, I'm here, and I'm functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm okay, but it's like a daily struggle, obviously," the actress noted.
She dove further into the topic of her grief by referring to the 2025 movie "The Gorge," which was filled with monsters. According to her, her emotions are "like a giant ocean of awfulness" that is right in front of her.
Plaza continued that two days never feel the same, and sometimes she wants to go all in, while at other times, she wants nothing to do with all the feelings. Unfortunately for her, the reality of her loss would not seem to get out of her way.
Aubrey Plaza And Her Husband Were Reportedly Separated Before His Death

Baena's death exposed that a lot was going on in his marriage to the TV personality, with the most shocking being that they had lived in separate houses since September 2024.
The actress had also taken the extra step to relocate to New York following their separation, but they kept regular communication, including a phone call the night before he committed suicide.
Plaza had reflected on her marriage to Baena years ago and how they basically got married on impulse. She described their union as a joke that went too far, and the decision to the ceremony pipeline was basically 3 hours apart.
For their wedding outfit choice, Aubrey expressed that they kept it interesting with Baena's tie-dye pajamas and her "purely rosemary crown."
The 'White Lotus' Actress Landed A Challenging Role Months After Jeff Baena's Death

Plaza found her creative juices last August when she accepted a role in a biopic set around the life of a former madam in Hollywood, known as Heidi Fleiss. Fleiss was known in the industry for her Los-Angeles prostitution ring, which catered to the elites.
The Blast noted that the controversial nature of the character did not deter Plaza from looking forward to filming. She confessed that the story of Fleiss had piqued her interest for a very long time, and it was also the first time she would play in any biopic. In her words:
"The story is insane. She's done something that probably nobody else has ever done, and she's still going. I think she's the ultimate badas-icon and she deserves the royal treatment."
The actress raved about finally meeting with Fleiss and having a physical conversation to really understand her story. Fleiss was also thrilled about the idea of someone playing her on the big screen.
Aubrey Plaza Received Positive Reactions On Her 'SNL' Return

The media personality returned to the set of "SNL" alongside Poehler last October with a mandate to impress fans with their comedic spin on Netflix's steamy movie "The Hunting Wives."
Plaza showed up midway through the trailer, which was adjusted to fit into the "SNL" storyline. She was seen walking her up to the mimosas-and-murder crew in sunglasses and a California drawl.
The real "Hunting Wives" Netflix series premiered on the streaming platform last July and tells a story about a group of Texas socialites who end up murdering due to their obsession with guns, gossip, and seduction.
The series, based on May Cobb's novel, rose to become one of the most-watched summer thrillers on Netflix for 2025.
Rooting for Aubrey Plaza to close that sale, and on time too!
