‘Apocalypto’ Star Rudy Youngblood Arrested After Meth Allegations

Rudy Youngblood, best known for playing Jaguar Paw in Mel Gibson’s Oscar-nominated "Apocalypto," is back in the headlines after being arrested in Texas on a felony substance charge. Youngblood was taken into custody on Thursday after officers picked him up on a warrant filed in Bell County the day before. Rudy Youngblood was booked into the Henderson County jail for possession of a controlled substance in an amount between 1 gram and 4 grams, a felony that can carry up to two years behind bars and a fine of $10,000.
Speeding Stop Allegedly Uncovered Warrant, Leading To Rudy Youngblood’s Arrest

City of Brownsboro Chief of Police Scott Myntti told TMZ that Rudy Youngblood was initially pulled over for speeding, and once officers ran his license, it allegedly showed he was wanted. From there, he was cuffed and booked without incident. As of Friday morning, he remains in custody.
TMZ reports this latest arrest is connected to an earlier incident in October, when officers stopped Youngblood at a boat ramp in Bell County, Texas. At the time, police allegedly discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest tied to an accusation that he assaulted a member of his household.
Court documents reportedly claim officers also found a baggie of what they suspected was meth, along with a metal scale, a straw, and a glass pipe. The substance was sent off for testing, and after it was confirmed to be meth, law enforcement signed a warrant for his arrest, leading to this week’s custody.
Youngblood’s Legal Trouble Reportedly Stretches Back Years

This isn’t the first time Youngblood's name has popped up in a police report. TMZ previously reported that in October 2025, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.
He was also arrested in Miami in 2017 for disorderly intoxication, though those charges were eventually dropped.
Rudy Youngblood’s 2025 Arrest Resurfaces As Cops Allege Assault Warrant And White Crystalline Substance

During his October 2025 arrest, authorities say Youngblood was taken into custody after a warrant was issued accusing him of “assaulting a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.” Police also allege a white crystalline substance was found on Youngblood during the arrest.
Officials said the warrant surfaced after a vehicle was reported parked near a Lake Belton boat ramp at around 12:20 a.m. Corey Powell, public information officer for the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, told the Daily Mail, “Rudy Youngblood was arrested by the Belton, Texas Police Department and booked into the Bell County Jail on October 15, 2025, at 12:31 a.m., on an outstanding warrant issued out of the Austin Municipal Court on the felony charge of assault family/household member, impede breath or circulation.”
Greece Run-In Added Another Chapter To Youngblood’s Legal Troubles

Long before this Texas arrest made waves, Youngblood was already dealing with serious legal drama overseas. Less than a year ago, he reportedly spent time in custody in Athens, Greece, after an early-morning confrontation with police that quickly spiraled.
According to local reports, Youngblood was stopped in the early hours of December 27, 2024, and authorities alleged he was intoxicated and threatening officers with a knife. Youngblood, however, claimed the officers weren’t wearing identifying insignia and didn’t explain his rights.
Youngblood was later charged with resisting arrest, making threats, and carrying a weapon after police said he had a pocketknife. He ultimately received a 10-month suspended prison sentence, but the situation didn’t end there. Reports said he remained held due to an expired visa, triggering a deportation order that he later appealed before leaving Greece voluntarily.
