A$AP Rocky Reveals How He Keeps The Spark Alive With Rihanna

A$AP Rocky is sharing a glimpse of his relationship with his partner, Rihanna, discussing how they keep their relationship alive while being parents to three children.

The two aren't shy when it comes to heaping praise and expressing admiration toward one another, and their statements show mutual respect and genuine love that serve as the foundation of their relationship.

A$AP Rocky And Rihanna Know How To 'Spice It Up'

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have been together for several years and have three children together: 3-year-old RZA Athelston, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and their only daughter, 4-month-old Rocki Irish.

With three children to take care of, it might be difficult to find time for each other. However, the rapper says he still keeps things interesting in his relationship by prioritizing spending quality time with Rihanna.

While talking to Ebro Darden on "The Ebro Show," A$AP Rocky shared, "You got to spice it up. You got to still date. You got to still be friends. We roll dice. We play cards. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, she a cheater. We be playing crazy eights. I love that girl to death, man. We got to keep the funk going cause if not, what we doing then?"

The Rapper Gushes About Being A Girl Dad

In the same interview, A$AP Rocky expressed what it feels like to be a father to a baby girl, whom he described as the "girl version" of himself. Rihanna gave birth to their daughter Rocki on September 13, 2025.

According to the "Fashion Killa" rapper, having Rocki made him feel vulnerable. "When she look at me, Ebro, I just be like, I melt inside. You know what I'm saying?" he shared, adding that it feels like falling in love again.

Moreover, A$AP Rocky added that his admiration for women has only grown, noting his deep respect for those who go through changes during pregnancy to bring a new life into the world.

A$AP Rocky And Rihanna Started Dating With 'Caution'

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have known each other since 2012, but they didn't start dating until the end of 2019. Speaking with The Cut, Rihanna said they exercised "dating with a lot of caution" in the early stages of their relationship.

"We knew what we're capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other's lives. We can make or break each other's hearts," the "Diamonds" singer explained. However, they were forced to fast-track their relationship due to COVID.

The pandemic forced the then-new couple to take a look at their relationship and figure out what they really wanted out of it. It turned out they were in agreement about starting a family.

Inside The Couple's Loving Relationship

Rihanna knew that A$AP Rocky was the one for her, as she felt seen. That was something that she felt was lacking in her previous relationships. "When someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you're worthy of being the mother of their kids, it's a great feeling," the singer said, adding that she also thought he would be a "great dad."

A$AP Rocky also shares the same sentiment. He gushed about Rihanna in a 2021 interview with GQ, saying, "So much better when you got the one. I think when you know, you know. She's the one." It also helped that they were good friends even before they began dating.

As the rapper revealed in a New York Times interview, his mother always wanted him to be with Rihanna even before they started seeing each other. "She was always my boo. I always had love for her. And when we were just friends, my mother used to say, like, 'I know you like this girl that you with right now, but I want you with Riri!'" A$AP Rocky shared.

Eight years after the release of his last album, A$AP Rocky is back with new music. "Don't Be Dumb" was released on January 16 and is the rapper's fourth solo album.

The 15-track album features collaborations with other artists, including Will.i.am, Tyler the Creator, Gorillaz, Danny Elfman, and Thundercat, among others.

A$AP Rocky will embark on his 42-date "Don't Be Dumb World Tour," which will kick off on May 27 in Chicago.
