The mere thought of one of Kody Brown's ex-wives returning to the plural family is enough to freak Robyn Brown out even more than the idea of actually having them back.

This emotional reaction comes shortly after the “Sister Wives” star revealed he was ready to apologize to his ex-wives, Meri, Janelle, and Christine, following the sale of their Coyote Pass property, which marked a symbolic end to their plural marriage.

After years in polygamy, Kody appears to be taking a complete U-turn, now declaring he would “never do that again,” insisting the lifestyle has become tiring.

Robyn Reacts To The Idea Of Her Sister Wives Returning To Kody Brown

In an exclusive sneak peek of the December 7 episode of "Sister Wives," a producer asked Robyn how she would respond if one of the ex-wives ever wanted to return. The question completely caught her off guard.

“I would be very surprised. I don’t want to even answer this because I’m just like…” she confessed. Within seconds, Robyn became teary, admitting she could not handle the thought of such a scenario.

“I can’t. I can’t. I got to move away from that because I’ll fall apart, and I can’t be on this set,” she emphasized, continuing that she didn’t even want to think about it, as reported by US Weekly.

She added that “Hope is dangerous sometimes,” hinting that although she dreams of a united family, she cannot allow herself to imagine that possibility anymore.

Kody Brown Tells Robyn He’s Ready To Apologize To His Ex-Wives

The emotional moment for Robyn came after Kody revealed he was ready to apologize to his ex-wives and take responsibility for his role in the collapse of their family.

As reported by The Blast, Kody explained to his remaining wife that he wanted to face each of them directly.

“What I need to own about the breakups, about how things happened with the family… I want to set them free, just get them to stop thinking, talking, being about me,” he said, referencing the fact that none of them spoke to him or Robyn at the Coyote Pass sale.

He added, “And then you talking to me about getting therapy, I kind of just prayerfully tuned in, trying to go, ‘Okay God, what should I do about this mess that I'm in and how I feel?’ I just started getting this vibe that I need to go apologize.”

Kody Brown Admits He Will Never Do Polygamy Again

After years of navigating complex family dynamics, Kody now says he is done with polygamy entirely.

“I had 18 kids with four wives,” he reflected in an interview, per The Blast. “It has been three divorces, and I would never do that again — I would never marry again.” 

He acknowledged the divorces placed a strain on relationships within the family and caused bad blood. "In some cases with my children, communication has ceased," he lamented.

Kody added that his choices were influenced by how he was raised, sharing that his father was also a polygamist. “I grew up in an entire culture that had it as a side note to their belief system. My dad had three wives,” he said.

Despite his upbringing, Kody’s marriages slowly unraveled, with Christine leaving first, followed by Janelle and then Meri, leaving Robyn as his only remaining wife.

Another Woman Shows Interest In The Plural Family

Even though both Kody and Robyn have said they are done with plural marriage, the couple still seems to attract admirers. During a November episode, Kody revealed that a woman had recently expressed interest in joining the family.

As The Blast reported, the mystery woman scolded him for embracing monogamy and told him she would join the family if he ever changed his mind.

Robyn, unimpressed by the approach, explained that the process is not that simple. "It's not usually proper to go hitting on a guy. You have to go through the sister wives, you have to go through, like, at least one," she said.

Kody And Robyn Come To A Deal On Where They Stand About A New Wife

Before the admirer’s interest ever surfaced, Kody and Robyn had already discussed the possibility of adding a new wife.

Back in September, Kody brought up the idea at a dinner date, explaining that a relative had asked whether they were still practicing plural marriage.

Robyn admitted she wasn’t sure how to respond, adding that if plural marriage were truly still part of her life, she would already be living it. Kody reminded her she once turned down suitors who refused plural marriage and asked what she would have done if he had approached her as a monogamist.

"I would have said the same thing to you," Robyn replied, per The Blast. Ultimately, Kody admitted he was “done” with polygamy and asked Robyn if monogamy worked for her. She agreed, and he ended the conversation with, “OK, it’s a deal,” sealing their agreement with a kiss.
