TikTok Signs Divestment Deal to Sell US Assets
TikTok came one step closer to finalizing its divestment deal to continue operating in the United States on Thursday as CEO Shou Chew signed the Trump-backed agreement divest its stateside assets to a conglomerate of American investors.
In a memo to staff reviewed by members of the media on Thursday, Chew said that the deal is on track to close Jan. 22.
