Actress Sydney Sweeney is turning heads on the red carpet yet again. The 28-year-old actress was promoting her new movie “The Housemaid” at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles when she turned heads in a custom white halter-neck dress by the bridal designer Galia Lahav. The waist-cinching bodice and sweeping skirt reminded many fans of Marilyn Monroe.

Many fans are familiar with the halter-top style white dress with a plunging neckline that Marilyn Monroe wore in the 1955 film “The Seven Year Itch.” Sydney seemed to wear a modern version of the dress while she was promoting her new movie “The Housemaid” on December 15.

Her long blonde hair spilled over her shoulders as she posed, hiding dangling earrings underneath her curls. She paired the look with bright red lipstick and kept her jewelry minimal as she flaunted her fit figure in front of the cameras.

In the comments of a PEOPLE magazine article talking about the film, fans weighed in on how appropriate, or not, the dress was. “I love Sydney's dress. It's quite beautiful, too much cleavage, but that's this generation. Marilyn Monroe, she ain't… just because she wears a white dress doesn't make it so,” one user commented, to which another replied, ‘Totally agree.”

For some reason, Elon Musk decided to go after "The White Lotus" actress on December 16. Variety had posted a video of Sydney Sweeney in her dress arriving at the L.A. premiere. Musk commented with a meme of a woman with a large chest. “What it looks like,” text next to the photo read.
