Kevin Bacon hopped online to reflect on his professional and personal friendship with Reiner and his wife yesterday, Monday, on his Instagram. He recalled the director giving him a few acting gigs, including a role in “A Few Good Men,” which was directed by Reiner in 1992.

As shared by The Daily Mail, the actor described the opportunity as an unforgettable one, which also showcased Reiner’s impeccable directing prowess, leaving a good impression on Bacon’s heart.

“On the set, he was so fun. And it really comes down from the top. You can set a tone where people feel like we are working hard, but also we are working hard in a safe, pleasant, and fun situation,” Bacon explained. He also revealed that he often grabbed lunches in between sets with Reiner and his wife, Michele.

“We had lunch together every day. He and Michele would be there, and the two of them were so great together. Kyra would come by. She was pregnant with Travis. It was a magical time,” Bacon explained.

The actor revealed that their kids grew up together, and the director and his wife were wonderful parents who tried their best to make the world a better place.

The Blast stated that the politician also chimed in a sound bite or two into the growing tribute pool for the late couple. He did not do much to sympathize with the families and loved ones of Reiner and his wife; instead, he described their passing as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

He declared that Reiner’s obsession with him intensified and spread to others in addition to his growing paranoia following every one of his administration’s milestones as the years rolled by.

Trump added that Reiner’s fixation on his government, its politics, and achievements practically drove people crazy, and he could not fathom the idea of the golden age of America. Several social media critics lend their voice to Trump’s actions, describing his utterances as a lack of human decency.

More critics slammed him for using someone’s death as a gotcha moment due to their previous criticisms of some of his policies and their different political standings.

The producer’s kindness remains a focal point of tributes that have been written to honor his memory by several people. The Blast shared that following his death, his comment on the shooting of Kirk resurfaced, further cementing his reputation.

Reiner had branded Kirk’s death as an absolute horror during one of his appearances on Piers Morgan’s show. He confessed that he saw the video and was left in disbelief at the way the whole incident went down.

“I don't care what your political beliefs are. That's not acceptable. That's not a solution, so solving problems,” the filmmaker said at the time, insisting that such a fate should never befall anyone regardless of their political or social leanings.

He also praised Erika’s decision to forgive her husband’s killer, describing it as admirable. “I'm Jewish, but I believe in the teachings of Jesus, and I believe in 'do unto others,' and I believe in forgiveness, and what she said to me was beautiful,” the late movie director added.

Rest in peace, Michele and Rob Reiner!
