'RHOA' Phaedra Parks Puts On Her Lawyer Hat For Nick Reiner's Legal Woes

Phaedra Parks is bringing her legal expertise to the table concerning Nick Reiner's impending murder trial!
The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star gave her two cents on Rob Reiner's son's situation, and urged his new defense attorney to intensify her efforts to make sure he has a fair shot in court.
Nick Reiner's ongoing case witnessed two shocking developments since his arrest in December: the withdrawal of his high-profile lawyer, Alan Jackson, and a postponement till February 23.
What Is Phaedra Parks Suggesting To Nick Reiner's Defense Lawyer?

The media personality weighed in on the ongoing case and urged Nick's lawyer and public defender, Kimberly Greene, to really get her head in the game to help her client go far.
During the interview session at LAX on Friday, Phaedra explained that it is unfortunate the late actor's son had to resort to getting a public defender since the trust was "more than likely covering his legal fees."
However, the reality star noted that she is unsure if there is now an ongoing "conflict of interest for the victims to pay for the alleged assailant's defense."
TMZ stressed that for public defenders like Greene, it may become overwhelming for her to be overloaded with cases, which could put the whole case at a disadvantage, despite her 14 years of experience.
"[Greene] is gonna have to read night and day, get her witnesses lined up, and try the best job she can." It's going to depend on the experts. A case is only as good as its facts," the star affirmed.
Insiders Claimed Rob Reiner's Son Has Been Cut Off

When Jackson stepped down from the case on January 7, speculations flew wild about what could have contributed to such a spontaneous decision. The Blast reported that British journalist Rob Shuter of #Shuterscoop revealed that his family has now cut him off.
An insider noted that the family once loved him and were rooting for him to get better; however, what he did was beyond monstrous, and the family decided to stop protecting and finding him.
Besides the decision to stop the financial support from his family after the devastating act of killing their mom and dad, Nick also reportedly behaved badly to his legal team.
"Even with the best legal team, a client has to cooperate. Nick's behavior over the past weeks, erratic, threatening, unpredictable, left no other choice. The family can't bankroll chaos," the source emphasized.
Nick Reiner's Family Reportedly Had Defense Attorney Alan Jackson On Speed Dial

The film writer's arrest reportedly sent his family into a frenzy, and they rushed to procure Jackson's expert services, which have proved helpful for celebrities like Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein.
As reported by The Blast, the attorney also just got off defending Karen Read from murder charges in Massachusetts, where he secured a win in court. However, his decision to leave will forever be a source of mystery to the public, as Nick's family also refused to give any comment.
Jackson did prove his worth for a minute before his sudden departure by boldly declaring that his client was completely innocent of all the false allegations. The defense attorney also assured everyone that his reasons for stepping down from the case were beyond Nick's control.
The Late Actor's Son's New Medication Came With Dangerous Side Effects

Months before the gruesome murder of his parents, The Blast shared that Nick's doctors had switched some part of his medications, which left him with severe side effects, including increased erratic behavior.
According to sources, the medication was meant to stabilize his condition and stop him from gaining weight as a result of the previous medication. The 32-year-old was reportedly staying at his parents' home while all this was going on, and his dwindling psychological condition was not secret to Rob and Michele Reiner.
The late couple seemingly poured out their minds about Nick's scary behavior to their close friends, and the doctors also failed to step down the particular drug from his itinerary.
Unfortunately for the couple, who had reportedly exhausted every means to help their ailing son, they were found dead in their Brentwood home with stabbing wounds, after an intense exchange with Nick at a Christmas party the night before.
Nick Reiner Reportedly Believes There Is More Than Meets The Eye To His Arrest

The film writer is currently behind bars awaiting his February 23 date, and sources in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility claim that he is far from being in total control of his senses.
Right now, Nick reportedly believes that his incarceration is a conspiracy against him by some group of people who do not want him free. The late actor's son had also expressed that he is fully aware of the crime he committed, but argued that he should not have been arrested.
Upon his arrest and entry into jail, Nick was initially placed on suicide watch due to his compromised mental health. Aside from his mental health issues, Nick also battled substance addiction in the past, and his late parents reportedly spent thousands of dollars on rehab stays and expert treatment.
