Over 100 Netflix Originals Leaving Netflix Throughout 2026

Another year is just around the corner, and as we’ve been cataloging over the years, Netflix Originals don’t stream on Netflix forever. Over the years, we’ve seen many movies and series depart the service as their exclusive licensing arrangements come to an end. While the majority of the Netflix Original library will never depart as they’re owned outright by the streamer, all of these are currently set to leave throughout 2026. 

We’ll include our regular notice just below, but we do want to reiterate that Netflix Originals can be renewed or brought back. Call My Agent! is a good recent example. That series was licensed to Netflix exclusively and departed last year. With the announcement of its movie, however, Netflix relicensed all seasons with the Original banner.  Another good example is Rita (seasons 1-3), which got a last-minute renewal from Netflix and remains on the service. 

There are a few on this list we suspect will get renewals, such as Arrested Development (which has had a removal scare before) or The Last Kingdom, given that they’re still well watched, but treat this as an early warning. 

This list also mostly covers Netflix Original departures in the United States. There are also instances where Originals will leave the streamer in international territories.
