Official Trailer for Acclaimed Film 'My Father's Shadow' Set in Nigeria

Mubi has revealed an official trailer for one of the best indie discoveries of the year - a film titled My Father's Shadow, made by filmmaker Akinola Davies Jr. This premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and it was given a Special Mention Prize, then it played at tons of other fests: TIFF, London, Hamburg, Karlovy Vary, Athens, Chicago, etc. Mubi will debut this in theaters starting February 2026 next year - expect it to get awards & show up on a few Top 10 lists.
