Netflix Sets January Streaming Premieres for 3 Films: Stone Cold Fox, The Threesome and Bone Lake

Netflix has just unveiled its streaming lineup for January 2026, and among the currently confirmed titles are three movie streaming premieres, which will hit the service in the United States just after their theatrical and VOD releases. Here’s the rundown of what’ll be available and when. 

Before we get into it, a reminder that we’re keeping a close eye on everything coming up throughout January 2026 in our full preview guide in the link provided. 

First up, Kiernan Shipka will be familiar to any fans of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which, if you can believe it, has been five years since that final season dropped on Netflix. She headlines this action thriller comedy directed by Sophie Tabet as Fox.

The 80s-set action thriller film centers on the young woman who has escaped an abusive commune only to be forced to infiltrate it again when the queenpin Goldie kidnaps her sister, and a corrupt cop is sent after her.

The film picked up mostly positive reviews upon its release, including a 7 out of 10 rating from CBR’s Martin Carr, who wrote, “Whatever audiences take away from the film, there is no denying it delivers sheer entertainment. Darkly comic on occasion, seedier than Liv Tyler’s turn in Super, and more fun than anything this far down the cinematic food chain deserves to be.”

Shipka isn’t the only high-profile face you’ll see in the film, either. Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Jessica Jones) plays Goldie, and Kiefer Sutherland (24, Designated Survivor) plays Sgt. Billy Breaker with Lorzena Izzo, Jamie Chung, Karen Kukuhara, and Mishel Prada rounding out the cast. 

Vertical distributes the movie.

Directed by Chad Hartigan and written by Ethan Ogilby, this romantic comedy-drama features Zoey Deutch (Olivia), Jonah Hauer‑King (Connor), and Ruby Cruz (Jenny) when Connor’s longtime crush Olivia invites them both into an impulsive threesome—the ensuing romantic entanglement forces all three into messy adulthood, complicating friendships and relationships.

The film carries a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with most of the focus of reviews on the standout performance from the leads of Deutch and Cruz, plus the direction of the film. 

Chad Hartigan directs the film, which was released theatrically on September 5th, 2025. Much like Stone Cold Fox, Vertical distributes the film.

Next up, we have a horror movie from director Mercedes Bryce Morgan and writer Joshua Friedlander, starring Maddie Hasson, Alex Roe, Andra Nechita, and Marco Pigossi. 

The official synopsis reads, “A couple’s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they are forced to share the mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. In this darkly hilarious and seductive horror story, a dream getaway spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.”

Unlike the other two movies on this list, Bleecker Street is the distributor of Bone Lake. This marks the second major SVOD debut from this distributor in the US in recent months, following Relay starring Riz Ahmed.
