Completing the look was McCarthy's gold clutch bag, which she held firmly in her right hand in a snap she took alongside her husband, Ben Falcone. The actress's hair was also slicked back in a way that allowed her drop earrings to be obvious, and she further accessorized with some gold rings.

McCarthy's appearance at the Golden Globes comes amid her wellness journey, which has led to her losing a significant amount of the weight people previously associated with her.

She has been open about her transformation, including sharing with People magazine in 2023 that it first began when she attempted an all-liquid diet.

While the extreme measure initially led to a loss of around 70 pounds, it came with several side effects that ultimately forced the actress to end the diet.

"I'd never do that again. I felt starved and crazy half the time," the actress said about the diet.

Melissa McCarthy Stopped Worrying About Her Weight

With time, McCarthy lost even more weight, a change she said came from loosening up and not overanalyzing what she should do.

"I finally said [to myself], 'Oh for God sakes, stop worrying about it, and it may be the best thing I've ever done," the actress said during an appearance on CBS. "I truly stopped worrying about [my weight]."

She added, "I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything…I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked."

The Actress Credited Her Husband With Helping Her Feel Comfortable In Her Own Skin

Also of great help to the actress amid her wellness journey is her husband, Falcone, to whom she has been married for over 20 years.

In an interview with People in 2023, the actress revealed that he helped her feel comfortable in her own skin amid trolling from netizens about her weight.

"Because he's so constantly loving and kind. And funny and the weirdest human I know, to be honest," she said at the time.

The mother of two added, "And somewhere in my 30s, I was like 'I'm okay with who I am.' And if someone wasn't thrilled with that, that's okay too. At some point, I was like, 'They're not all going to like you.' You have to learn that the hard way, but it's a good [lesson]."

Melissa McCarthy Celebrated Her 20th Wedding Anniversary With Ben Falcone

Last October, the duo celebrated their 20th anniversary, and they both marked the occasion by writing touching tributes to themselves on social media.

"Twenty years ago today, I got hit with a lucky stick! I married the love of my life and card carrying hypochondriac. xoxo," the Bridesmaids star captioned a PDA picture of themselves from the nuptials.

"20 years ago, this lovely lady agreed to marry me. I'm so grateful she said yes — these have been the happiest years of my life. I'm hopeful for 120 more years together. I love you, Mooch," Falcone wrote, adding a picture of his bride being led down the aisle.

During their marriage, McCarthy and Falcone have welcomed two daughters, Vivian, 18, and Georgette, 15.
