The "Made You Look" singer is being vocal about her stance that the traditional paths are not the only ways to build a family. Welcoming her third child, Mikey Moon, her first daughter, was so surreal for her, bringing tears of joy.
Meghan Trainor is also mom to her older two kids, sons Riley and Barry, both of whom she personally birthed. She might be the best mom in the world on certain terms but was recently tagged the leader of the mean moms group in the recent scandal.
Meghan Trainor Gets Candid About Surrogacy Decision

Adding the newest member and first girl child to the family has been nothing but joy for Trainor and her husband, Daryl Sabara. They welcomed Mikey Moon on Sunday, January 18, 2026, via surrogate, an option the singer is grateful to have.
Trainor shared that, having carried her two other children, surrogacy was not their first choice, but after endless conversations with their doctors, it was the safest way for them to continue growing their family.
PEOPLE shared the 32-year-old's message, which is the beauty of surrogacy as a way to build a family. She stressed that "It's not something to whisper about or judge," because it is fueled by "trust, science, love, and teamwork."
"Every family's journey looks different, and all of them are extremely valid," Trainor said before, happily praising their surrogacy, whose identity was not revealed for their selfless sacrifice and determination to make the experience incredible.
The Doting Mom Had Challenges With Her Previous Pregnancies

It is no secret that pregnancy and childbirth come with their pains and struggles, and Trainor was dealt a hand of them. In her 2023 pregnancy and parenting book "Dear Future Mama," the entertainer detailed the struggles she faced during and after her first two pregnancies.
Riley spent days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as he had difficulty breathing on his own. She later revealed that she suffered post-traumatic stress disorder following Riley's birth, when he was rushed to the NICU with Sabara while she was still on the surgical table.
With her second son, Barry, she went through a roller coaster of physical and mental distress until she reached a breaking point. She was alone, exhausted, and experiencing panic attacks. These situations made the singer realize how difficult and traumatic becoming a mother is.
The Grammy Winner Could Not Hold Back Tears In Third Baby Arrival Announcement

Trainor's photo dump baby arrival announcement featured a series of heartwarming images. One of the pictures shows the new mom of three, shirtless, cuddling her baby girl with tear-clouded eyes.
The Blast covered details of the emotional carousel of photos, which also captured a cute moment of Riley and Barry meeting their baby sister. They stared at the newborn lovingly, while another captured Barry's eyes, completely fixated on his sister.
Another sweet moment featured Trainor and Sabara with the newborn. The entertainer ensured her older boys were involved and is already building siblings' connections, allowing them to choose her middle name, Moon.
The 'Sensitive' Singer Was Involved In 'Toxic Moms Group' Drama

Following Ashley Tisdale's viral essay about a group of mean moms whom she had to break away from. Trainor initially maintained silence, refusing to address the matter until a few days later when she posted a TikTok making her statement.
The caption of the video read, "Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama," with her new single "Still Don't Care" playing in the background as she typed on her computer keyboard.
The Blast reported that her move was not received well by fans, and backlash arose from different angles. Part of the online audience called her out, claiming her actions were proving Tisdale right.
A fan penned, "This is giving leader of the mean moms group," and another wrote, "This proves Ashley's point."
Meghan Trainor Made A Second Attempt To Wash Off Mean Mom Label

After the first TikTok didn't receive much love from fans, the entertainer made a second try to clear her name from the drama.
Tisdale's essay covered that she was removing herself from being friends with a group of mean moms. Popular opinion was that the group included stars like Meghan Trainor, Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and designer Samii Ryan.
The second post also carried a message of denial of her involvement with the toxic mom group. She mouthed the words from the viral "Stranger Things" sound. "Come on, you have to believe me! Please, you have to believe me, you have to believe me," the mom of three said with the sound.
The Blast shared that with this one, she openly declared innocence, "I swear I'm innocent," she captioned the post. Fans were more drawn to the second video than the first.
Congratulations to Meghan Trainor and welcome baby Mikey!
