Marjorie Taylor Greene Throws Republicans Under The Bus Regarding Trump Support

Marjorie Taylor Greene is not holding back in a new interview about her infamous fallout with Donald Trump.
The Georgia representative was once one of the president's most active supporters, who advocated for his return to office during the 2024 presidential elections. They were still pals earlier this year until their differences became public in October.
Marjorie Taylor Greene began airing her grievances against Donald Trump during the government shutdown and took things up a notch by announcing her resignation from Congress by January 2026. Now, she claims not all MAGA enthusiasts were supporters from the start.
Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Many Republicans Changed After Donald Trump's Reelection

During a new interview, Greene reflected on her past as a MAGA supporter and how she initially received contempt from her colleagues for supporting Trump. She claimed these Republicans would make fun of the president until he emerged victorious at the polls.
Greene claimed these critics did a complete 180 and reinvented themselves as loyal Trump supporters. She noted they started "kissing his ass, and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time," implying that many in Trump's circle were enemies pretending to be friends.
The Georgia representative added that Congressional Republicans were "terrified to step out of line" because they feared Trump's wrath on his social media platform, Truth Social. The revelation marked one of the many bombshells Greene dropped in her "60 Minutes" interview on Sunday, December 7.
The Politician Accused The President Of Fueling The Death Threats Against Her

During the interview, Greene called out Trump for directly fueling the public's resentment against her. She alleged that she began receiving death threats, including a pipe bomb threat to her home, after the POTUS labeled her a "traitor" in November.
"The subject line for the direct death threats on my son was his words, 'Marjorie Traitor Greene.' Those were death threats," Greene explained. She claimed Trump showed no remorse when she reported the pipe bomb incident to him and Vice President JD Vance.
Greene alleged his reply "was extremely unkind;" however, she stood by her guns for slamming his decision to bring Amad al-Sharaa, the president of Syria's interim government, into the White House. She reiterated that al-Sharaa was once wanted by the US government.
Inside The Georgia Representative's Feud With The POTUS

The feud between Greene and Trump began during the government shutdown in October. The Georgia representative took off her MAGA hat to side with Democrats over the extension of health care subsidies, a move Greene never imagined she would do.
The female politician was also the only Republican member of Congress to publicly slam the war in Gaza, describing it as a "genocide." Her issues with Trump continued with his decision to invite a former wanted man to the White House and his stance on the Jeffrey Epstein files.
During the interview, Greene noted that Trump was "extremely angry" with her after she signed a petition demanding the release of the files. She claimed the POTUS said he was against the files' release because he believed people would get "hurt," but she countered him by declaring the victims "deserve to be heard."
How Donald Trump Reacted To His Former Supporter's Interview

Following the release of Greene's interview, Trump called her out in a heated Truth Social post. He dubbed her "Marjorie 'Traitor' Brown" because "Green turns Brown under stress!" and claimed she stopped supporting him because she got "jilted."
"Too much work, not enough time, and her ideas are, NOW, really BAD - She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple!" Trump added. He slammed her description of herself as "AMERICA FIRST," arguing that she was neither patriotic nor wise to be of value to the country.
Trump repeatedly slammed Greene as "dumb" and a "traitor" in his post before calling out the interviewer, Lesley Stahl, for previously attacking him on the news show. He declared that he deserved an apology because the correspondent was wrong about her take on the Hunter Biden laptop incident.
Marjorie Taylor Greene Once Compared The President To Jesus Christ

During the height of their friendship, Greene actively supported Trump during the 2024 presidential elections, regardless of the public's opinions. The Blast shared that she sparked backlash in June during a Las Vegas rally.
When Greene took the stage to push for Trump's return to the Oval Office, she argued that his status as a convicted felon shouldn't affect his presidency. "The man that I worship is also a convicted felon. And he was murdered on the Roman cross," she said.
The comparison did not sit right with many, who slammed Greene on X. Fans stressed that Jesus Christ was nothing like Trump, whose crimes allegedly included sexual assault and infidelity. Others labeled MAGA supporters, like Greene, members of a cult for unquestioningly supporting Trump.
