Lori Loughlin's Real Reason For Calling It Quits On Her Marriage After 28 Years: 'She Never Fully Forgave Him'

Lori Loughlin's marriage to Mossimo Giannulli hit the rocks after 28 years, but reports claim their separation has nothing to do with infidelity.
A source earlier claimed that their relationship was troubled after Loughlin found "incriminating" texts on his phone, but another insider now says it was linked to their "varsity blues" college admission scandal.
Mossimo Giannulli has since been spotted hanging out with stylist Hannah Harrison, but she said it was just a case of "bad timing" and their relationship is strictly "platonic."
Why Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Giannulli Separated

Loughlin has separated from her husband of 28 years, Giannulli, and a close source is setting the records straight as to what caused their marriage to sour.
The pair made headlines in the closing months of last year when a source claimed the "Full House" actress had had enough when she found "incriminating" texts and emails on his phone.
Now, an insider told Us Weekly that it was due to the college admission scandal in which they were indicted for paying fixer Rick Singer the sum of $500,000 to pass off their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, as potential rowers so they could gain admission into the University of Southern California.
"The school scandal was a turning point, and they never really connected or recovered their relationship after that," the source shared.
"She felt that he got her involved. She didn't fully blame him, but he spearheaded it," the insider further noted, adding that Loughlin "never fully forgave him and never fully got over it, and they were never the same after."
The Actress And Her Estranged Husband's Split Is 'Amicable'

According to the news outlet, a source maintains that the actress remains "friendly" with the fashion designer and that they "don't hate each other."
The insider shared that their split is "more amicable than people think or would expect," with Loughlin reportedly inviting him to her family's Christmas party.
The source added that they "are living separate lives and figuring out next steps. Divorce looks like it's the future."
Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Giannulli Are In No Rush To File For Divorce

Fears earlier surfaced that she may walk away from the marriage with nothing, as they didn't have a prenup in place when they got married nearly three decades ago
However, the insider explained that they're in "no rush" to file for divorce as a "lot of financials need to be worked out" first, even though they've allegedly started selling off their assets.
Another insider shared that they tried to put up "a united front" for their daughters, but they had "drifted apart" and later realized "neither of them had much in common anymore as the girls got older and as the dust settled from the scandal."
The source added that they "both made mistakes" and had "a lot of ups and downs" over the course of their marriage.
The Former Couple Is 'Living Separate Lives'

At the time the scandal first broke out, Loughlin and Giannulli initially maintained their innocence but eventually pleaded guilty to committing wire and mail fraud. The actress then had to serve two months in jail, while Giannulli served five months.
Loughlin's rep Elizabeth Much previously shared in a statement that they were "living apart and taking a break from their marriage," and maintained that "no legal proceedings" were considered at the time.
An insider told People Magazine that the tough past few years drove a wedge between them and "put a strain" on their marriage.
The source explained that "things have never been the same" after they "weathered the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together," with another insider sharing that Loughlin "feels betrayed."
"It's not a happy situation for her," the source continued. "They're in very different places right now, and it's unlikely that they'll find their way back together."
Lori Loughlin Wants To 'Get Her Life Back'

When news of their split first went public, Giannulli was seen on a shopping spree with stylist Hannah Harrison. At the time, she told Us Weekly that there was nothing romantic between them and it was just a case of "bad timing."
"I went to the [G/FORE Supply] store not knowing that his separation had been announced. I was going there to meet him," Harrison said, insisting the hangout was work-related and that they were only "good friends."
They were then seen again arriving together at a Los Angeles nightclub. Meanwhile, Loughlin is understood to be supported by their daughters and her friend James Tupper, whom she was seen hugging outside the private members' Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles.
According to reports, her friend shared that their daughters are "completely" in their mom's corner, as the actress now looks to "get her life back."
