NFL Christmas Day Lineup

Netflix is turning Christmas Day into a full-scale musical and football spectacle once again, with Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson leading a newly expanded lineup of live performances during NFL Christmas Gameday.

After launching the tradition last year with headline-making performances from Beyoncé and Mariah Carey, Netflix is doubling down on the holiday energy in 2025. Two marquee NFL matchups will stream live and exclusively on Netflix worldwide, each paired with major musical moments designed to make Christmas Day appointment viewing.

The Dallas Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders in the opening game, kicking off at 1 p.m. ET from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. The action continues at 4:30 p.m. ET from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the Minnesota Vikings take on NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions.

Both games will be preceded by pregame coverage beginning at 11 a.m. ET.

Kelly Clarkson Opens NFL Christmas Gameday

Kelly Clarkson will headline the opening festivities ahead of the Cowboys vs. Commanders matchup, taking over the role previously held by Mariah Carey. Clarkson remains one of pop music’s most enduring stars, having won three Grammy Awards with 11 additional nominations, alongside eight Daytime Emmy Awards for The Kelly Clarkson Show, which she has hosted since 2019.

Netflix has confirmed that Clarkson will perform her modern Christmas classic “Underneath the Tree,” continuing the tradition of kicking off the day with a festive, crowd-pleasing opener. Additional songs from her holiday catalog have not yet been confirmed.

Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party Expands With Special Guests

Snoop Dogg will headline Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during the Lions vs. Vikings game, delivering the centerpiece performance of Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The Primetime Emmy Award winner and 17-time Grammy Award nominee will be joined by a diverse slate of special guests, transforming the halftime show into a genre-spanning holiday celebration.

Among the newly announced performers are the singing voices behind HUNTR/X from Netflix’s record-breaking film KPOP Demon Hunters. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami will make a special appearance, bringing K-pop energy and holiday flair to the halftime stage in a crossover moment built specifically for Netflix’s global audience.

Country fans will also have plenty to celebrate, as Grammy Award-winning superstar Lainey Wilson joins the lineup. The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year is set to deliver a show-stopping performance, adding a country powerhouse moment to the festivities.

Netflix has teased that additional surprise guests will join Snoop Dogg on Christmas Day, with full details being kept under wraps until the live broadcast.

Snoop Dogg previously shared his excitement for the event, saying:

“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love, and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria added:

“Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, for a halftime show built to entertain fans everywhere. This is the ultimate holiday gift for our members.”

NFL Christmas Gameday Returns With Bigger Production

NFL Christmas Gameday returns to Netflix in 2025 with two high-profile NFC rivalry games streaming live on December 25. Cowboys vs. Commanders airs at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The broadcast will once again feature expansive production support, with CBS Sports producing the games and NFL Media handling pregame, postgame, and halftime programming. Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, with EverWonder Studio serving as executive producer for NFL Christmas Gameday.

In addition to streaming globally on Netflix, the games will air on CBS affiliates in the competing team cities and be available on U.S. mobile devices through NFL+.

Continuing a tradition introduced in 2024, all four teams will wear festive holiday-inspired uniform patches during both their Week 16 and Christmas Day games. The 2025 design features the NFL shield backed by two candy canes, celebrating football’s growing place in the holiday season.
