During Kimora's first TV run, cameras captured her saying goodbye to her global fashion brand, "Baby Phat."

In 2019, however, she reacquired the brand, and today, she's taking the company to new heights.

Kimora's imprint on the fashion world can't be denied, especially considering many of today's popular stars have been seen sporting the Y2K look "Baby Phat" was known for.

"I’ll sometimes look at the Y2K things girls, like Sabrina Carpenter, are wearing and say to Ming, like, ‘I started that,’" Kimora said. "She’ll say, ‘Mom, you didn’t start everything.' Even if I didn’t, I was definitely influential."

Kimora Lee Simmons Opens Up About Daughter's Age-Gap Relationship In Candid Interview

Before Kimora's new reality series, her family was back in the headlines thanks to her daughter Aoki Simmons' previous relationship with a 65-year-old man.

Kimora got candid about the shocking connection during a recent podcast, according to The Blast, explaining that, while she wasn't happy about the situation, she wanted to let her children make their own mistakes.

According to the former model, she resisted the urge to scold her then-21-year-old daughter for dating a man 44 years her senior. "You can't give the 'I told you so,' right now. You can't give the 'What the h-ll are you doing' right now. You can't give those things right now," she said.

However, social media users weren't too pleased with her take on her daughter's age gap romance. One user wrote, "Kimora dated older men before her daughter was born. Where do you think she gets it from?" Another said, "Ma'am, your child's father now lives in Bali because of his predatory behavior."

One Redditor wrote, "She's shocked her daughter followed in her own footsteps? Miss me with that sh-t."

Although Aoki's past relationship with restaurateur Vittorio Assaf won't be a major storyline in Kimora's new series, the upcoming episodes will feature chaotic stories sure to keep viewers tuned in.

"I feel like people around me are like, ‘Oh god, you're so crazy,'" Kimora said in early December. "This is so much going on. You should have cameras. And I was like, ‘Yeah, I've been there, done that.’ But people are like, ‘No, no, I'm really serious.'"

Kimora's children were also eager to get back in front of the cameras. "They were excited," Kimora stated before revealing she may have bribed her daughters with luxury vehicles or designer fashions.
