Kim Kardashian Says Bar Exam Failure Made Her Feel 'Really Uncomfortable' And Unsure Of Herself

Kim Kardashian revealed that failing the California bar exam shook her confidence after six years of legal studies and months of intense preparation.
Determined not to dwell on the setback, the reality TV star shared the news publicly and immediately focused on improving before retaking the exam in February.
Kim Kardashian also admitted she sometimes used ChatGPT to study, and believes the AI tool actually hurt her performance.
Kim Kardashian Admits Bar Exam Setback Hit Her Confidence Hard

The 45-year-old reality star and entrepreneur has been pursuing her goal of becoming a lawyer for six years, but last month she fell short of the required 1,390 out of 2,000 points needed to qualify, despite studying up to nine hours a day in the months leading up to the July exam.
Speaking to Time Magazine, she said the result left her feeling "uncomfortable" and unsure of herself, especially after pouring so much effort into her preparation.
But after taking a moment to process the disappointment, she quickly shifted her mindset. Kardashian explained that she's "pretty good" at turning setbacks into opportunities, saying she immediately began focusing on what needed to change before her next attempt.
Kardashian also chose to share the news publicly before the results were released online, wanting to be transparent with the fans who have followed every step of her legal journey.
"I wanted to mention it first and let people know that it didn't go my way," she explained.
The Reality TV Star Says Bar Exam 'Failure Is Fuel' As She Prepares For A Retake

Despite feeling down after failing her bar exam, Kardashian refused to dwell on the setback.
She's already preparing to retake the rigorous two-day exam on February 24- 25 and told her followers on Instagram that she's as committed as ever.
"Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass," the business mogul wrote. "Falling short isn't failure — it's fuel."
In her announcement, she wrote, "Well ... I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up, just more studying and even more determination. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far."
Kardashian continued: "Falling short isn't failure - it's fuel. I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivates me even more. Let's Go!!!!!!!!!!!"
Kim Kardashian Hit Major Milestones On Her Unconventional Path To Becoming A Lawyer

Kardashian has long spoken about wanting to follow in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who famously served on O.J. Simpson's defense team during his 1995 murder trial.
She passed the "baby bar" in 2021 after three failed attempts and later passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), another required exam for aspiring attorneys.
In May, she celebrated a major milestone when she completed the four-year California Law Office Study Program (LOSP), an alternative route that allows students to study under practicing attorneys instead of attending law school.
The Reality TV Star's Mentors Praised Her Dedication To Her Law Studies

Kardashian's mentors praised her determination during a small backyard graduation ceremony.
They noted her commitment to justice while "raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows, and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others."
One mentor highlighted Kardashian's work on behalf of incarcerated individuals, noting her involvement in clemency efforts "helped reunite families, and brought national attention to the most broken parts of our legal system."
Kim Kardashian Blames ChatGPT For Tanking Her Test

Meanwhile, during Vanity Fair's lie detector test series, Kardashian confessed that her study sessions with ChatGPT may have done more harm than good, even claiming the AI tool made her fail some tests.
During the conversation, the reality TV star was questioned by her "All's Fair" co-host Teyana Taylor about whether she turns to AI for "life advice," or "dating advice," or if she viewed the chatbot "as a friend."
Kardashian said she doesn't rely on ChatGPT for dating or life advice, but admitted she has used it while prepping for legal exams.
"When I need to know the answer to a question, I'll take a picture and snap it, and put it in there. It has made me fail tests ... all the time," Kardashian said. "And then I'll get mad, and I'll yell at it."
Taylor joked that the chatbot sounded more like a "frenemy" than a study partner. Kardashian agreed, explaining that the bot often fires back with messages telling her to trust her own instincts, essentially calling her out for second-guessing herself.
