Kim Kardashian Reportedly 'Defeated' After 'Worst' Year Of Her Life, Including Failed Bar Exam, Relationship Woes

It appeared like Kim Kardashian had many wins to celebrate in 2025, including the release of her new scripted series, "All's Fair," and her shapewear business, SKIMS, reaching new heights. But despite that, a source revealed that the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star reportedly feels "defeated" and "exhausted" after wrapping up "the worst" year ever.
In 2025, Kim Kardashian had even more public disagreements with her ex-husband, Kanye West, learned that she had failed the California bar exam, and faced public criticism over her parenting choices. According to the insider, Kim is even more worried that 2026 will follow a similar trajectory.
Kim Kardashian Reportedly 'Defeated' After Having 'The Worst' Year Of Her Life

According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, Kim is disheartened after having what she believes was a terrible 2025. "It has been so trying that she does not know what she will do if 2026 is worse," the insider said.
As they continued, the source mentioned that Kim's setbacks in becoming a licensed lawyer in California put her in a dark space. "Failing the bar was a major slap in the face and a massive blow to her ego," they shared.
According to an earlier report from The Blast, Kim learned that she failed the California bar exam in the winter of 2025. "Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up - just more studying and even more determination," she wrote on Instagram.
However, she explained that she remains motivated despite the setbacks. "Falling short isn't failure—it's fuel," she said. "That only motivates me even more."
Kim Kardashian Reportedly Struggling To Co-Parent With Her Ex-Husband

The source also shared that co-parenting her four children, North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm, with her ex-husband, Kanye West, has become increasingly difficult.
"Being a mom is tough. She loves her kids, but along with the rest of her life being so busy, it has been a struggle while dealing with everything else in her personal life," they said, adding that it's "tough" with the "Monster" rapper.
According to The Blast, the pair, who married in 2014 before divorcing in 2022, put their differences aside for the Christmas holiday, as an insider claimed that they "made peace" for their children's sake.
During a scene from her family's Hulu series, "The Kardashians," Kim opened up about parenting alongside her ex, who, in 2025, faced pushback over his public controversies.
"Kanye and I want the best for the kids," she told the producers. "And so anytime we're here supporting our child, it's always good vibes."

Kim is also reportedly worried about her relationship status heading into the new year, as the source claimed the reality star doesn't know if she'll have time to form a meaningful connection with someone in the future.
"She would love to find love again, but what this year has shown her is that you can't have it all," the source said. "She's not getting any younger and is stuck in her ways, and to find someone that would meet her in the middle and be an important man in her life to her and her kids might just be impossible."
The Blast previously reported on Kim's alleged connection with NFL superstar Tom Brady, which fizzled before anything could even get started. A source shared that Kim had put in a lot of effort to get Brady's attention; however, when they were face-to-face at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's 2025 wedding, the Super Bowl champion gave most of his attention to actress Sofia Vergara.
"Tom checked all her boxes — he's polished, high-profile, and attractive. She really thought he could be the one, so watching him pursue someone else hit a nerve," the source added, saying that being rejected by Brady was a "massive blow" to Kim's ego.
Kim Has A Lot To Be Proud Of

While Kim has been dealt her share of blows, the A-lister's family believes she has much to be proud of. "Kim has gone through a bunch of stuff this year, and her family has mentioned to her that she should feel uplifted — that all these tests are in God's plan and that she will be better off. But it's hard for her to believe that," the source said.
Regarding her career, Kim stepped into many new roles last year, including leading lady in Hulu's "All's Fair," starring Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close. In the series, Kim plays a powerful divorce attorney who's managing her high-profile clients' drama while tending to the chaos in her own life.
About the series, Kim lauded her co-stars and credited them for helping her be the best she could be in front of the camera. "I learned a lot from them showing up and coming on set every single day and just seeing them work and seeing what they do. They are the best at what they do. That was the best lesson I could have learned," she said.
Which Product From Kim's SKIMS Line Went Viral?

Kim's popular shapewear line, SKIMS, which has collaborated with The North Face and Nike, had many successful moments throughout 2025, but its faux pubic hair thongs took the internet by storm.
According to The Blast, the line of 12 undergarments in various colors and hair textures sold out online within hours, stunning Kim and her business partners. "I'm shocked," she said. "It got so much attention — we've been laughing and talking about it all day long."
