Kelly Clarkson & Snoop Dog to Headline Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday

It’s going to be another exciting NFL Christmas Gameday for Netflix subscribers. 17-time Grammy Award-nominated artist Snoop Dogg will join three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Kelly Clarkson to perform on Christmas Day.

On the first Netflix NFL Christmas Gameday, legendary pop artists Beyoncé and Mariah Carey performed for millions of subscribers worldwide. Carey helped set the tone for the festivities with her performance of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” at the opener of the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. Later that day, Beyoncé delivered an incredible performance at the halftime show of the Houston Texans vs. the Baltimore Ravens game.

This year, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Pop and Country artist Kelly Clarkson will take over from where Mariah Carey left off and will open the show. The second game of the day will take place at 4:30 p.m. ET at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the Minnesota Vikings will take on NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions, with a halftime performance from legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dog.

Both games will be live and exclusive on Netflix for subscribers worldwide.

Kelly Clarkson will headline the Show, Open for the Cowboys-Commanders Game 

Kelly Clarkson will headline the opening show at the Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders game. The beloved musical artist is best known as the first winner of American Idol and arguably the show’s most successful artist, having won three Grammy Awards and been nominated for 11 additional awards. 

Clarkson has also received eight Daytime Emmy Awards for her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which she has hosted since 2019.

Netflix has confirmed that Clarkson will be performing her festive hit “Underneath the Tree.” It remains unclear whether she will perform any additional songs from her Christmas album, When Christmas Comes Around.

Snoop Dog to Perform at the Lions-Vikings Halftime Show

The Primetime Emmy Award-winning and 17-time Grammy Award-nominated artist Snoop Dogg will perform at the halftime show of the Lions vs. Vikings game. The West Coast rapper has entertained audiences for decades and, despite growing up in Los Angeles, is known as a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Snoop Dog had the following to say about his upcoming performance:

“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love, and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, had the following to say:

“Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show. As a West Coast girl and huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members. We’re ready to drop it like it’s hot this holiday celebration!”
