Tucker Makes Shocking Legal Demands Amid Divorce From Kandi Burruss

Two weeks after the news went public, Tucker filed responding documents in court, making shocking demands, including primary custody of their two minor children and a request to void their prenup. In the filing, Tucker stated that he should have sole custody of their children because Burruss's work schedule is too busy. Additionally, the producer's lawyer argued that their prenuptial agreement should be voided because he signed without legal representation.

Burruss fired back at Tucker's new filing, requesting that their prenuptial agreement be enforced. She also urged the court to review footage of the pair's journey down the aisle, which was captured by Bravo cameras. "The parties' journey to executing an enforceable Prenuptial Agreement was filmed and broadcast on Bravo television network, with the knowledge and consent of both [Burruss] and [Tucker], for their five-part reality television wedding documentary entitled Burruss's Wedding that premiered on June 1, 2014," the legal document read.

Since announcing the split, Burruss has received a flood of supportive comments from fans online. The reality star later opened up about the separation, admitting she has done a great job of hiding her feelings from the world.

"This is what I look like when I'm going through something. At another point, Burruss admitted to dealing with a wave of emotions she often cannot control. "Sometimes you're cool, you're moving, you're mixing, you're moving, you're hanging out with friends," she said before saying that at other times it's more of a challenge. "So all the times you've been seeing me online [all smiles] means nothing. I've been going through it, child. I've been going through it. Life has been life-ing me," she said.

Amid the divorce, Burruss is starring in the Broadway musical "& Juliet" through March 2026. According to The Blast, Burruss was more than excited about her return to the Broadway stage, calling it "f-cking perfect" before revealing that being under the lights allows her to take her focus off her personal problems.

The jukebox musical is a reimagining of "Romeo & Juliet" that explores what would have happened to Juliet had she not died in the original production. It features music from the famed pop producer Max Martin, who has worked with Ariana Grande, NSYNC, Kelly Clarkson, and more.

In the show, Burruss performs a version of Pink's hit, "F-ckin Perfect," a song with lyrics she is keeping close to her heart these days. "I'm always in my head, doubting myself, even though I guess it may look to other people like I never have doubts. But people just see the shiny part of the coin, right?" she said.

"You don't see the other side, where it's kind of dull. It's kind of like, 'Oh my God, I don't know if this is what I'm supposed to be doing?' So I'm really hearing those words now," she added.
