Jeffrey Epstein Denied Being Suicidal Days Before He Was Found Dead In His Cell, New Docs Reveal

A released prison report has shown that late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein gave specific reasons why he would never take his life, less than a month before he was found dead in jail.

The Justice Department released a trove of files relating to its investigation into Epstein, revealing photos of him with several popular names.

Jeffrey Epstein's Amazon shopping list has also raised eyebrows as the financier bought items ranging from girls' school uniforms to supplements meant for sexual activities.

Jeffrey Epstein Gave A Specific Reason Why He Would Never Take His Life

Shortly before he was found dead in his jail cell, disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein took a series of tests that revealed he had no intention of committing suicide.

Included in the new documents released by the DOJ are prison notes from his time at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, which showed that Epstein said he couldn't take his life because of his Jewish beliefs.

The note mentioned a possible suicide that seemingly happened in July 2019. However, Epstein didn't have a recollection of such an event, telling an interviewer that "he could not remember what happened" on the day in question "because of his 'sleep apnea.'"

Later that month in July, a note stated that Epstein "does not like pain and never attempt (sic) to harm himself."

"He said he is Jewish, and he said in his religion, suicide is against the religion," a suicide risk assessment form dated August 1, 2019, read, per People Magazine.

The Late Sex Offender Denied Feeling 'Hopeless,' With His Suicide Risk Gauged As 'Low'

The suicide risk assessment form showed that Epstein had a "low" suicide risk, with the late financier even denying feeling "hopeless" and revealing that he still had a lot of reasons to live.

"Overall, his current protective factors override his risk factors for suicidality," the report read. "He is currently psychologically stable. He denied feeling hopeless. He is reporting positive future plans and reasons to live for."

The report further highlighted that Epstein's "overall acute suicide risk" was "low."

According to the prison note, August 8, Epstein also denied having suicidal ideation. He was, however, found hanged in his cell on August 10, with his death ruled a suicide.

Jeffrey Epstein Files Sparked Massive Speculation

The Justice Department has released thousands of pages relating to the late Jeffrey Epstein and the investigation into him, sparking heated debate online.

The documents contain several photos of notable figures with Epstein, with the DOJ recently stressing that, despite the release in compliance with the law, the files contain "untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump.

Some that have sparked speculations include a picture he snapped with Michael Jackson, images of Bill Clinton, and photos of Trump.

The president initially opposed the document's release, but after the Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed by Congress in November, he signed the law, seemingly changing his stance.

The Financier's Strange Amazon Purchase History Was Released

The Epstein files managed to dig up many questions again, especially regarding his online purchases. Parts of the document released were his over 1,000 Amazon receipts, which seemingly confirm he purchased schoolgirl uniforms, supplements, dresses, shots, and the like.

According to the news outlet, Epstein bought a Sonic prostate massager priced at $61.50 from Prostate Health Center. He particularly had a penchant for binoculars as he searched, but could also face other things.

He also bought an FBI suit, a pair of combat leggings from the Israel Defense Forces, multiple sauna hats, and four novels written by Vladimir Nabokov.

In April 2017, Epstein paid $64.95 for bottles of Vagifirm, an herbal treatment for tightening the v-gina walls.

A relational trauma expert shared that his purchase of these items, adding that it represents "a map of power," per the New York Post. "The presence of these child-coded items alongside these sexual tools is so clinically alarming," she added.

Ghislaine Maxwell Said She Doesn't Think Jeffrey Epstein Died By Suicide

Meanwhile, Epstein's convicted partner and sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell, shared that she didn't think he died by suicide as widely circulated. In an audio filing submitted last August, a recording had her speaking about it to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Maxwell noted that Epstein's death may have been the result of an "internal situation" in jail, not suicide, particularly.

"In prison, where I am, they will kill you, or they will pay — somebody can pay a prisoner to kill you for $25 worth of commissary," Maxwell said,  per People. "That's about the going rate for a hit with a lock today."

She was then asked if she thought someone on the outside wanted him dead, but she noted that it is "of course" possible, but she didn't "see it" happening.

"But I don't know of any reason why, and I don't believe in the blackmail or in any of this, I don't think Epstein had a hit on like that," she continued. "If it is indeed murder, I believe it was an internal situation."

"And I also think it's ludicrous, because if that — I also happen to think if that is what they wanted, they would've had plenty of opportunity when he wasn't in jail," Maxwell further explained. "And if they were worried about blackmail or anything from him, he would've been a very easy target."
