Tylor Chase cannot be forced off the streets, despite being in desperate need of long-term care.

The former "Ned's Declassified" actor has repeatedly returned to homelessness, even after loved ones and concerned supporters tried to secure stable housing for him.

Authorities have now confirmed that there is little they can do, as current laws prevent them from compelling Tylor Chase to enter a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility against his will.

On Monday, a video surfaced showing Tylor Chase back on the streets after he was previously placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold by a mental health crisis team.

The former actor has been in the news in recent weeks because of his homelessness, which led to the earlier intervention.

Since returning to the streets, Chase appears to be in the same condition, further highlighting his need for long-term care.

Sadly, nothing can be done without Chase's consent, and authorities say their options are limited.

Speaking to TMZ, Riverside Police Department spokesman Ryan Railsback said the law prevents them from helping because Chase is not considered gravely disabled or a danger to himself or others.

Railsback also noted that Tylor politely declines all offers of assistance and that homelessness itself is not a crime.

"We can't kidnap him," the spokesperson added about Chase.

At first, it seemed Chase was finally getting off the streets after he was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold by a mental health crisis team.

At the time, TMZ reported that Chase would be taken to rehab once the hold ended. However, he appears to have declined the help, as shown by his return to the streets.

Previously, Chase also seemingly absconded from the hotel room that had been gotten for him by his "Ned's Declassified" co-star Daniel Curtis Lee a few days ago.

Lee was said to have driven about 50 miles to meet up with Chase after a video of the former child star living on the streets went viral.

However, upon checking Chase into a hotel room, he reportedly tore up the room within hours. According to Lee, hotel management called to report that the door to the room was ajar, the fridge had been flipped over, and the microwave was in the tub.

Despite Chase being spotted on multiple occasions on the streets, he has claimed that he is not homeless.

"It's not really like that. I have friends and family. I stay around here locally. My mom is here," he told the Daily Mail, adding, "I have a lot of good people helping me."

Chase went on to double down on his stance that he is not truly homeless, while expressing his gratitude to those who have helped him.

"I have family and friends, and the housing shelter assistance program. There's graceful charity from the grace of God's family people. That's a pretty chill aspect of it all. It's a true privilege, obviously," he added.

Chase's condition has continued to worry his former co-stars, with another one, Devon Werkheiser, recently sharing how heartbreaking it has been to see him in this state.

"I haven't seen Tylor in almost 20 years since the show ended," Werkheiser said during a chat with TMZ. "Anyone who has dealt with severe addiction and deep mental health issues knows it's an unbelievably challenging situation if they don't want help."

Looking ahead, Werkheiser believes Chase needs continued support from loved ones and that it may take time and many attempts before the real change is seen.

"It's an everyday uphill battle to course correct. It requires a ton of support and patience and time," he said.

Actor Begs Fans To Stop Posting Selfies Of The Troubled Nickelodeon Star

Werkheiser also urged people to stop posting photos of Chase on the streets for views.

However, he admitted that the attention from such videos could eventually help connect Chase with the right people and resources.

"My only hope is that from this exposure, someone with real understanding and resources can step in, get Tylor into treatment, and help him get back on track," he said.

Werkheiser added, "We all want a happy ending."
