First Look at Iñárritu's 'Digger' Movie Starring Tom Cruise Out Next Fall

Meet... Digger! Whoa! A surprise first look via Warner Bros today - they finally revealed the official title and a few very quick glimpses of footage for the new Tom Cruise / Iñárritu movie out next October in the fall. This highly anticipated, very expensive new project is officially titled Digger - because Tom Cruise stars as a man named Digger Rockwell. Who is he? Well, we're still not sure. They're still keeping the plot details a secret. The only other synopsis adds: The most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity's savior before the disaster he's unleashed destroys everything. Is he a superhero of some kind? Especially with this footage of him with a shovel it reminds me of the Shoveler from Mystery Men with a bit of the same vibes as Will Smith in Hancock. The full ensemble cast in Digger features: Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D'Arcy, Robert John Burke, Burn Gorman, Michael Stuhlbarg, John Goodman.
