FBI - Fadeaway - Review : Unexpected Twists And Turns
FBI came back strong after a one-week break, giving us almost all of our favourites in mortal peril. I really loved this episode as it was seriously fast paced, and it showed all of the core three pairs working in such great unison.
First of all let me start by saying I am so glad that Isobel is staying as the SAC, as I’ve said before I truly couldn’t imagine what the team would be like without her. Especially as they were passing up Jubal for the job, I definitely did not want to watch someone run the team that didn’t know what they were like.
The episode gripped me immediately when the apartment block blew up and watching the story unfold was genuinely mesmerising, I certainly did not expect the story to go where it did. Harry Jenkins essentially confessed within a minute of being in OA’s presence but then to have the real story be about covering up a murder, I was shocked.
The prison part of the episode was my favourite part. So many things happened in such a short period of time, but I think that is what made it so great to watch. It truly didn’t give you any time to process what was going on.
Scola and Eva seem to have really hit the jackpot on their partnership, they are already at the point where they can communicate through looks. Scola took a pretty heaving beating for her too, I can’t wait to see more of this duo. I can’t believe Eva is still pretty new to the team, it’s like she’s been working with them for years.
As always, I love the Maggie and OA relationship, but particularly in this episode I loved how much they fought their way (literally) to save Scola and Eva in the infirmary. The whole fight scene for both pairs was so well crafted, my eyes were glued to the screen non-stop.
Overall this episode was a really great episode, I’d love to see more of the group dynamic again in future episodes. I am truly excited for the fall finale two parter next week!
