Reports suggesting late Rob Reiner was involved in a heated argument with his son Nick Reiner at a party have been widely circulated, but a Hollywood executive says it's all "bullsh-t."

There were also claims that Conan O'Brien prevented several other show attendees from calling the cops, but the source added that the party host "saw no fight."

Nick Reiner has since been arrested in connection with his parents' death and could face up to life imprisonment as the authorities continue to weigh up the possibility of the death sentence.

An eyewitness has shut down rumors of an argument ensuing between Rob and Nick a day before the film icon and his wife, Michelle, were found dead in their Brentwood home.

The Reiner trio was in attendance at Conan O'Brien's party on December 13, where multiple news outlets reported that the father and son were involved in a heated shouting match, but a Hollywood executive has told The Wrap that such a thing did not happen.

"That's bullsh-t," the executive said of the reports, going further to explain that the 32-year-old seemed erratic in his conduct, but the alleged fight with his father is pure fiction.

The insider noted that "there was this kid walking around making people feel uncomfortable. Eavesdropping on conversations and that kind of thing," but added that O'Brien "saw no fight, no argument."

The executive further stated that they knew a number of other attendees who were present at the event, but "no one mentioned it to" them.

"I said to Conan the next day – I said, 'What is all this stuff about a fight?' He said, 'I saw no fight," the executive revealed.

The Hollywood executive's dismissal comes in response to reports suggesting O'Brien prevented a friend from calling the cops following Rob and Nick's alleged standoff.

According to the Daily Mail, multiple attendees claimed they witnessed father and son exchanging words at the comedian's Christmas party, which he held in his L.A. home.

However, when a friend tried to call 911 to quell the discord, O'Brien talked them out of it, insisting he didn't want cops in his house.

"They got in an argument, the father and son. It got so bad and loud that someone wanted to call the police to report it," the insider claimed. "But Conan stepped in and said, 'It's my house, my party, I'm not calling the police.' He talked them out of calling the police."

Another source brought up Nick's mental health issues and suggested that they call the cops, but O'Brien didn't budge.

"When the sh-t was hitting the fan, somebody said we need to call the police. The conversation was about getting this kid put into a mental-health hold," the second source told the news outlet.

"Conan O'Brien stepped in and said, 'No, I don't want the police at my house.' It makes sense; who wants the cops showing up, creating a scene?" the insider added.

Since the sad incident happened, reports have emerged of Nick's strained relationship with his parents due to his mental health issues and substance abuse struggles, as the late couple is understood to have done all they could to help him.

The LAPD released a definitive statement earlier this week saying their investigation "revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths."

He has since been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of his parents. Nick appeared in court on Wednesday wearing a blue vest as he faced two charges of first-degree murder, but waived his right to enter a plea.

Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the charges carry a possible life in prison sentence without the possibility of parole, and that authorities are still considering whether or not to pursue capital punishment.

"Prosecuting cases involving family violence are some of the most challenging and heart-wrenching we face because of the intimate and often brutal nature of the crimes," Hochman said in a statement.

He continued, "Rob Reiner was one of the greatest filmmakers of his generation. His murder and his wife of more than 35 years, Michele Singer Reiner's murder, are shocking and tragic. We owe it to their memory to pursue justice and accountability for the lives that were taken."

Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia several years ago and underwent treatment for it medically. However, reports suggest his medication or treatment was changed at some point before his parents were found dead.

Multiple sources told NBC News that he was being treated for the psychiatric disorder, although it remains unclear when the medication was adjusted.

Meanwhile, his other siblings, Jake and Romy, who found their parents' lifeless bodies on Sunday, have spoken out on the "unimaginable pain" they're suffering after the "horrific and devastating loss."

"The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience," they said in a statement to CBS News. "They weren't just our parents; they were our best friends."

Jake and Romy continued, "We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life."

They then asked for privacy, further noting that their parents should be "remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave."
