‘Call of Duty’ Co-Creator Vince Zampella Dies in Car Crash at 55
Vince Zampella, the man responsible for co-creating the “Call of Duty” video game franchise, died on Sunday. He was 55 years old.
According to police reports, Zampella was killed in a car crash on Sunday afternoon. The single-vehicle accident occurred at about 12:45 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol. The car veered off the road, hit a concrete barrier and a passenger was ejected.
The driver was trapped in the car and died in the ensuing fire, pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital in the hours following.
