Bethenny Frankel Weighs In On Tom Brady And Alix Earle's Age Gap Romance In Expletive Rant

Bethenny Frankel had a few things to get off her chest regarding Tom Brady and Alix Earle's rumored romance. 

The entrepreneur shared a long rant defending the duo’s most recent flirty outing. She implored the haters to mind their business, saying that Brady and Earle are adults who should be allowed to do whatever they want to do. 

Tom Brady and Alix Earle were spotted getting cozy during a New Year’s Eve party, after which they received heavy backlash regarding their age gap.

Frankel shared a video on Instagram, giving her hot take on Brady and Earle's PDA. She posed a question to her audience, asking why everyone seemed to care about the quarterback and the influencer’s romantic life.

“Let me ask you something about Tom Brady and Alix Earle. And it’s not, ‘Why does anyone care?’ Because everyone cares. Why aren’t they allowed to do what they want to do?” she asked in the video.

She noted that as “two consenting adults,” Brady and Earle should be allowed to explore their connection without the public breathing down their necks. In her words:

“He [Brady] is a legendary, disciplined athlete that is respected by his entire community and everyone he’s worked with… [Earle] is a successful influencer who is showing up on time and seems to have good, meaningful friendships… Let’s say they hung out for five minutes, zero minutes, or they, in five years, decide to spend the rest of their lives together. Why shouldn’t people do what they want to do?”

She noted that although in her newly launched dating community, The Core, she doesn’t match people with 25-year age gaps, there were exceptions.

The reality star further defended 48-year-old Brady and 25-year-old Earle, saying that if they both came from good families, nothing was stopping them from finding love with each other. 

“Life is short. Do what you want to do, live how you want to live, live with integrity and ethics, try to do the best you can and be good, and you won’t always even be that, and everyone can f–k off,” she concluded.

Notably, Frankel was present at the New Year’s Eve party where Brady and Earle were spotted, per Page Six.

Dave Portnoy Similarly Defended Tom Brady & Alix Earle’s Age Gap

Frankel was not the only high-profile figure to push back against the criticism Brady and Earle garnered. Dave Portnoy similarly defended them, saying that the critics should “let them live.”

Portnoy called the critics “negative Nancys,” saying that if they could “pull” Earle at “almost 50,” they would too, per The Blast.

In a separate post, Portnoy applauded Brady for still being able to go clubbing at St. Barths despite his age, whereas he was still struggling to stay awake himself.

Insiders Say Brady & Earle’s Flirty Hangout Could ‘Develop Into Something’

Shortly after Portnoy voiced support for Brady and Earle, insiders addressed the romance speculations, noting that the duo’s flirty moment might lead to something substantial after all. 

After Brady and Earle were seen dancing and chatting away at a beach club, a source shared that the two “aren’t dating” because the footballer likes to keep his business private. However, the source noted that there might be something between them. 

“It isn't far-fetched that this could develop into something. After all, Alix is single, and she's going to do what she wants to do and go after what she wants. But Tom is definitely in the driver's seat,” the source said, per The Blast.

Tom Brady’s Ex-Wife Recently Got Married

Just as Brady seems to be moving on in his romantic life, his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, is also doing the same.

She got married again in early December 2025 to her Jiu-Jitsu trainer boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, three years after her divorce from Brady was finalized. 

The ceremony was held in private. However, an insider shared that Brady was not surprised by his ex-wife’s new marriage. 

According to The Blast, the source noted that Brady was “happy” for Bundchen and harbours no ill feelings towards her in any way. 

Bethenny Frankel’s Second Divorce Took A Toll On Her 

Frankel's defense of Brady and Earle’s relationship comes a month after she opened up about facing challenges in the aftermath of her second divorce. 

The TV personality finalized her divorce from her second husband, Jason Hoppy, in 2021, and the split was a traumatic experience for her. 

As The Blast reported, the "RHONY" alum shared that while she has gone through dark events in her life, including seeing her mother slit her wrists, none of them compare to her divorce from Hoppy. 

“Nothing compares to what my divorce was for 10 years. Nothing," the star said.

She called it a “traumatic” period in her life and noted that despite it all, she was determined to stay strong for her daughter.
