Bam Margera has agreed to pay a child support fee to his ex-wife, Nikki Boyd. The two share a son, Phoenix, 8, who has remained in the primary custody of his mother since the couple's separation.

The child support agreement was reached recently, after years of legal dueling between Margera and Boyd over how much the money should be.

They ultimately agreed on a $2,500 per month fee, with payments set to kick off next year. The amount is several thousand dollars short of Boyd's initial request.

After years of a long-running court battle, Margera has finally reached an agreement with his estranged wife, Boyd, regarding child support for their son, Phoenix.

The couple separated in 2021 after almost ten years of marriage, with Boyd filing for full custody of their son at the time, seemingly due to Margera's then-personal issues.

Now, they have agreed for the troubled former MTV star to pay $2,500 monthly in child support for their eight-year-old son.

The information was detailed in court documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, which also included that Boyd will remain the provider for Phoenix's health insurance coverage.

Payment of the child support fee is expected to begin on January 1 and will most likely elapse when Phoenix reaches 18.

Boyd had initially requested that the court order Margera to pay $15,000 in child support each month.

Her request seemed to have been tied to her financial struggles, as detailed in earlier court filings from her legal battle with Margera, per the Daily Mail.

"[Margera] does not provide Phoenix with health insurance and does not pay for any extras such as education, child-care, or housing," Boyd's attorney once argued in court, while seeking an increase to the requested amount.

The attorney further remarked, "This amount is not sufficient for Phoenix's support, and Nikki is severely financially struggling, all while Bam remains a relevant media figure, continues to travel around the country (except to California to visit Phoenix or attend hearings related to this matter), owns real property, and has substantial assets in the bank."

As part of her appeal regarding child support, Boyd also cited alleged financial records of Margera to prove he had the money. However, her efforts ultimately did not sway the court to grant her request.

For years, Margegra battled with addiction, legal troubles, and public breakdowns, but now appears to be on the upturn after his release from jail in September 2024.

Margera had been incarcerated for violating a DUI parole violation, and upon his release, he entered a brief treatment program to focus on his recovery.

In May this year, he was then spotted looking healthy and happy during the launch party of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.

He attended the event with his new wife, model Dannie Marie, whom he tied the knot with in the same month last year.

The pair looked completely smitten with each other and were spotted holding hands as they made their way into the event.

Margera is expected to be featured in the upcoming reboot of Hawk's game, reportedly due to the creator pushing for his addition.

In July, Margera revealed the terrible effects alcohol abuse had on his legs, which nearly ended his skating ability.

"You know, in 2013, the doctor said they were dry-rotted rubber bands from alcohol abuse, so I kind of lost hope. But now they are back to 100percent. I'm skating again," he said, per TMZ.

The Pennsylvania native revealed that he didn't skate for ten years due to leg issues, but his wife, Marie, who is a stretch coach, helped him recover.

"My passion's back, and I know that if I just focus on skateboarding, then everything else comes along with it," Margera added at the time.

He also noted, "You know, when you love what you do, and people can see that. That's when everything else comes with it. You know, I'm a 100percent skateboarder, so I'm just gonna stick to that unless I'm too injured."

Margera's wife, Marie, once opened up about how she was able to help him stay sober and healthy after he was ordered to wear an alcohol-detecting monitor in August 2023.

"He went through [detox], and I didn't go anywhere. We stayed in this beautiful crystal-infested pool house where we just healed, all of us, and we shut the phones off," Marie recalled, per Page Six.

She added, "I changed his number and we just X'd the bad people, and here we are."
