400 films throughout 2025 (always logging everything on
my Letterboxd for anyone curious) it's time to share my final selection of
My Top 10 Favorite Films of 2025. I try to watch as much as I can and give myself time to catch up with any extra films at the end of the year, but my favorites can come from anytime in 2025. What a year. A handful of seriously brilliant movies that I do think will end up being regarded as some of
the best movies of this decade. Yep I fell for Paul Thomas Anderson's
One Battle After Another just because it's such a great time at the cinema (I went 3 times in theaters!). I was not that into
Marty Supreme (it's good not great) or
Superman (meh) or
Weapons (scary but scattered) or a few other well-reviewed films of 2025, but I loved
Sinners,
28 Years Later,
Train Dreams, and many others. These are only my personal picks, the 10 films that I couldn't stop thinking about all year long, and enjoyed as much again on a rewatch. //
