A.I. Meta Documentary Film 'Deepfaking Sam Altman' Official Trailer
"I'm really enjoying our conversation so far, Adam." Ha! This looks like good fun. Abramorama unveiled their official trailer for a documentary film titled Deepfaking Sam Altman, an especially clever, amusing, meta commentary film about artificial intelligence and how crazy (and crappy) it is becoming. This first premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year and will be out to watch in select theaters this January 2026. A filmmaker's humorous journey into the modern A.I. trend leads to unexpected questions about humanity's future and our relationship with any kind of emerging technology. When filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough can't reach Open AI's Sam Altman for an interview, he builds his own version using Altman's own technology. His creation called "Sambot" becomes an AI co-director of the film, one mirroring Adam's fears, ambitions, and blind spots. The result is a revealing portrait of our era's obsession with simulation, power, and the longing for connection in this digital age. It looks great! A must see doc film for tech geeks. // Continue Reading ›
